Really recommend the pesto ranch sauce, s'more cookie lacked chocolate and marshmallow flavor, the pb chocolate frozen custard is rich and tasty

Mooney's Pizza Tavern is a restaurant where the pizza is delicious and solid. Regular crust pizzas are a favorite to get again, and the wings are great, with the Gochujang BBQ flavor and ranch standing out. The Pan Pizza was tried and found good but greasy and slightly under salted. Next time, try the House Bread and Meatballs. The Chicago wedge salad is also made extremely well. The salads are delicious and the wings are crispy. Everything is made in house, including the frozen custard, which is constantly rotated with different flavors. The custard includes a swirl of vanilla and chocolate peanut butter. The atmosphere has old school pizza parlor vibes, and the place feels familiar. It is super dog friendly, with a patio and staff to match. The service is incredible, and the hospitality is some of the best. The restaurant is an absolute gem and is owned by a local family. The food is great, the servers are amazing, and guests loved it. There was a longer-than-expected wait for pizza on one visit, and it seemed like it had been sitting before it made it to the table, but the customer service stood out. The manager personally came over to apologize and acknowledged that the wait and the way the pizza was handled were unacceptable, assuring that they will strive to do better. The honesty, accountability, and personal attention were truly appreciated. The issue was handled professionally and genuinely. The restaurant is glad to be given a second visit and looks forward to coming back again. The pizza was really good on a take out order, not burnt, floppy or soggy. A party room was reserved for an event, and the atmosphere was perfect. The service was incredible, with communication leading up to the event, questions answered along the way, food preordered ahead of time, and notification when running behind. Upon arrival, the group was allowed to hang out on the patio until the room was ready, and waters and two pizzas were provided on the house. It was a great experience, and all guests loved it. Definitely will be going back. Wishing 100+ years in the community.
