So glad there's an 85C bakery in DTLA. It's our office's go-to place for birthday cakes! Prices are affordable and the cakes are decadently good! Ordered the Ube Cream cake for some whimsical fun and the taste was divine! Creamy and moist, not heavy and not even sweet! I've always really enjoyed this café/bakery. It has always been very clean and tidy. I love love Boba and all sorts of things. I'm a big coffee person, so wondering that I really enjoyed is an iced rose latte with Boba, so instead of it being a rose milk tea it's done with the espresso end it is magnificent. The downtown location is surprisingly clean and their baked goods and pastries are fresh. They appear to have a regular clientele who stops in on their way to work or class. On the weekdays anyway. They probably sell through their products faster maintaining their freshness. This is a takeout only location. No seating at all. Grab and go.
