“Had a wonderful meal at Ilé LA. The entire 4-course dinner was presented beautifully, was well-flavored, and vibrant. The food was nourishing and so was the history and storytelling behind it. The care and intention in the food and presentation really made for a special evening. Highly recommend if you’d like to experience elevated pan-African cuisine. The theme of our dinner was a taste of West Africa and included pepper soup, a honey bean hummus, and salad, jollof rice, lamb, catfish, chicken, and fonio, a non-alcoholic beverage, and puff puff with ice cream. Everything was excellent! Would absolutely eat at Chef David’s table again.“

“Came to this restaurant because I was craving Ghanaian food. It really hit the spot. My Ivorian husband who says that Ghanaians can’t cook actually enjoyed the jollof rice, chicken, plantain and palm wine. He cleared his plate LOL!“

“Nkwagala cafe never misses!!🔥This is food that not only fills your body but also fuels your body⚡They only use ingredients that you will find growing naturally out in nature, in a world full of heavily processed foods coming across Nkwagala’s is like striking gold, they ensure 10/10 flavor in every meal and only serve foods that will resonate with your body & the two people running the business are truly amazing and kind hearted people, all of that together definitely makes this a 1 of 1 experience👏🏽“

“Vivian and her brothers Cody and Chuck were amazing professionals. Vivian cooked our food fresh and the brothers were awesome servers. This was my first time here, my coworker asked me to join her and I was pleasantly suprised. I never had Nigerian food before. I will return when I'm in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is very welcoming and loving, which is the most important part for me anywhere.
Thank you guys“

“I have been wanting to try this place out for quite a while now. I stay downtown Los Angeles, so it’s a bit of a distance to drive. Since the closing of the Vuuka lounge downtown, there isn’t much of a choice when it comes to African cuisine. Yesterday, which was Sunday I finally had a chance to try it while on break at work. I placed my order online and picked it up from the restaurant myself. I ordered the jollof combo plate and peppered goat soup. Both were very delicious and well seasoned. I did not sit and eat inside the restaurant, so I can’t really tell you guys how the atmosphere is but what I can say is that it is definitely a place everyone should try“

“This was so incredibly good I honestly had no words as I was eating it. I got the fufu and egusi soup with goat meat, chicken and beef. Everything was fresh, delicious and tasted like it was made with so much love. The entire staff was so sweet and welcoming. The food does take some time to prepare (around 30 minutes) because it is homemade but in my opinion it is so worth it, especially if you love Nigerian cuisine. I was having such a bad day until I got here and this meal turned it all around. I can’t recommend it enough.“
“Great service and the food was good.“

“This was my very first time trying Authentic Fufu & Egussi soup. It was absolutely incredible. I have no complaints. The beef was so soft and tender. The flavor was very unique. If you’re in the area and have been wanting to try Fufu & Egussi because of TikTok or social media, this is the place to go.“
