Civilization Cafe Reviews
At first I skeptical because of the price and wait time. But as soon as I got a croissant, I was impressed. The croissant was HUGE. So fluffy and all the ingredients taste very fresh. Most definitely worth the price and wait. The guy is very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This place was small inside which you expect out of a downtown coffee shop so minimal inside seats, but the food was great and the coffee was tasty! They are kind and respectful and it was overall a great experience thank you!!
Came across the cafe on Memorial day weekend when I was in the downtown area. Quaint little spot and is within walking distance to a lot of points of interest like Little Tokyo and the Grand Central Market. Lots of breakfast options but I chose to get the military latte and a egg, cheese, and bacon bagel sandwich. Very tasty and satisfying. Definitely recommend when you are in the area and craving something around morning/noon.

Civilization Coffee Plus Kitchen offers an amazing breakfast experience with delicious Horchata cold brew and the best breakfast burrito ever. The generous portions of fresh and flavorful food, along with the owner's friendly hospitality, make it a must-visit spot. Customers feel fully taken care of, like being at a family dinner. The perfectly balanced tastes in each dish, along with the massive portions, leave diners satisfied and eager to return. Recent reviews highlight the food as incredibly good, with some calling it one of the best breakfasts they've ever had. The breakfast burrito with steak stands out for its great seasoning and tender strips of steak, making every bite enjoyable. The Horchata latte is noted for its sweet and cinnamon flavor, paired with a strong espresso taste. While the breakfast tacos were a pleasant surprise for some, there is limited seating available, which can make dining in challenging during busy hours. The atmosphere is cute and clean but can feel stuffy at times, leading diners to prefer outdoor seating when possible. Overall, the service is praised for being pleasant and accommodating, making the experience even better. Customers also recommend trying their sandwiches, which are really good, and enjoying the music and relaxed atmosphere. The food is made fresh and with love, with great portions and no skimping on ingredients, offering simple flavors made right. It’s a fun place to get a good sandwich and great coffee beverages, especially appreciated by visitors from Europe for its super fresh food.
