“Alright, this might be the best donut shop anywhere around this part of town. It’s family owned and operated, no hipster shit just OGs with a classic and good shop. The donuts are really good in my opinion but the apple fritter is to die for.. so bomb. They have a big refrigerator with basically every drink you can think of and even in the middle of summer all of the drinks are super cold, an underrated detail missed by most businesses owners. “It's 3AM and you want some donuts, a sandwich, or whatever kind of comfort.... this place has got you.

On our way home from some degeneracy and I got a jalapeno ham cheese croissant and some donuts. It was hot and fresh out the kitchen and straight into my mouth I could barely contain myself on the drive home.

Now it's nothing special and but given the context this was the best thing to end that night (morning?) with.

“We found this place while driving around LA on a trip. As fans of Trejo, we had to stop. Being from the East Coast and not being fans of the typical strong-tasting dark roasts served at West Coast coffee shops, we didn't expect to love the coffee! We ended up stopping in 3 mornings over our 6 nights in LA because those donuts and the medium roast drip coffee are THAT good! On our first visit, a tray of red velvet donuts came out as we were ordering. OMG, one of the best donuts we'd ever had! Definitely stop by. As fun as it was to take pictures of the decor and Trejo's face on everything, their products are damn delicious!“

“Yummy Donut selection and ice cream! Best of both worlds if you want something sweet. My favorite thing to eat here is the carrot cake! I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and the carrot cake has never ever once failed ! They make it fresh daily and it’s delicious. Like we say in Spanish “para chuparse los dedos” they also have some of those cute small colorful donuts if you are into those, I am haha. The place doesn’t look modern just your regular LA style donut shop and I love it for that. Very much recommend if you are in the East LA area.They only take cash but have an ATM inside. I had a jalapeño/cheese croissant, my daughter ordered the tuna bagel and orange/carrot juice. Everything is tasty, clean and perfect. But please, this is a modest store, don't come thinking you're walking into a fancy, overpriced donut joint, no snobbery here. The couple are hardworking and kind. “this donut shop has been here before i was even born! my dad would take me here whenever i was a kid and we’d always be welcomed with a smile. ever since, prices had always been kept at an affordable price and donuts are always fresh! she even showed me the oven they used to make donuts in the morning. after i purchased a donut, i took a bite out of an apple fritter and went inside to buy another. the apple fritters were absolutely fresh and moist in the inside. i’ll have to come back again to try their coffee. i will always choose to support the local mom and pop shop :) they also have parking dedicated to michelle’s donuts“
