50 Best Donuts near East Los Angeles

“I've been coming here for a while for a few specific things:

-Vietnamese Iced Coffee, it's consistently good. Never had a bad one from here. At 5$ it's a pretty good deal.

-Ham & Cheese Croissant is always solid too whether it's cold or warmed up. Again, never had a bad one from here. I believe it's about 4/4.50$.

-Their filled donuts (Bavarian & Raspberry) are so good too! $1.75 each if I recall correctly.

Service is always great too, I don't know the dudes name (I catch him working mornings), but he's always friendly and efficient at getting your order ready even when he's got a few people in the shop.“

“Family Donuts is one of those classic neighborhood spots that still feels genuine. Fresh donuts, good coffee, friendly service, and that old-school East LA vibe that’s getting harder to find these days. You can tell this is the kind of place locals actually come back to regularly, not just another trendy photo-op shop charging $8 for a donut with cereal glued on top. “I always go to this place to order the giant donut! The service is great and the people are friendly. Whenever I tell them the donut is for a birthday, they hook it up and add donut holes in the middle to put the candle and an extra donut as a gift. ❤“

“I stopped by this donut place the other morning and it honestly made my day. The moment I walked in, the smell of fresh donuts filled the whole shop. You could tell everything was made fresh because the trays were constantly being restocked.

I ordered a glazed donut and a cup of coffee, and the donut was warm, soft, and perfectly sweet. The glaze had that light crisp on the outside but melted as soon as I took a bite. It paired perfectly with the coffee.

The staff were really friendly too. They greeted everyone who walked in and made the place feel welcoming. It’s one of those simple spots that reminds you how good a fresh donut and good service can be. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m craving something sweet.“

“Great spot! My mom is celiac and it’s rare (like never happens!) that she can find a gf donut. This spot is dedicated gluten free and she was soooo stoked to visit Hello Yr Welcome twice during her recent visit to LA. We got 3 donuts her first time in and 1/2 dozen the second (bc she loved them so much). They were all very flavorful and delicious!

Staff is super friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. Oh and the coffee is great. I got some delicious espresso / good flavor and not bitter - they know how to pull a shot ☕

Also worth noting that all the breakfast sandos and other items look delicious as well! But we were just focused on my moms rare opportunity to enjoy a donut

Worth getting here early as they do tend to sell out of some flavors by afternoon. We found there’s plenty of street parking in the surrounding area, even on the weekends.

The best part is definitely the people who own the shop. They are just the sweetest people and they make you feel so welcome. It is easily a 10/10 for me.

“So, I have been chasing the dragon ever since my favorite donut place closed during the pandemic/immediate aftermath. I have tried a LOT of donut shops. This quaint little shop is the real deal. The person serving the donuts (the owner?) was friendly and genuine. I didn't feel rushed in any way. The donuts.... Soft, perfectly flavored donuts, which are sweet enough but not gooey and nasty. I have found a new favorite donut shop. $15 a dozen is a good price for the Quality of these donuts. Yum!“

“My spouse and I come here at least once a week. We really enjoy the sandwiches and the iced coffee (strong and sweet, just how I like it). They stuff the sandwiches with lots of ingredients but will leave off any ingredient that you want and even give you pickled peppers on the side. We don't understand why anyone would even go to the Dunkin down the way when you can go to this place. The donuts are big and fresh here. They have such a variety of food and drinks (like fresh juices) that I'm amazed every time. If you think you won't find something you'll like, go in and at least see the menus on the wall.“

The donuts had the perfect texture, soft and chewy with a light crisp on the outside. They offered flavors like Oreo, Biscoff, Strawberry & Cream, Chocolate, Vanilla Glaze, Fruity Pebbles, and Churro. I also liked that they weren’t overly sweet.

I was reluctant to get into the place due to the outside appearance, but the donuts and cakes they make are delicious, and like I said the dough is so tender and soft... “EThe best place to stop by is Hagara, especially because it has a drive-through. Sometimes it’s nighttime, and I’m already thinking about going there in the morning when I wake up for my donut and coffee. “I just love this place. 1 day I was looking on Google for early morning donut shop that was open and I found this place. It opens at 430am. It's also a drive threw. This place is a little hidden gem. If you're ever in Elmonte area, I totally recommend it. They're coffee. It's off the hook. And the donuts are always fresh. My brother and I love going there.
