50 Best Donuts near East Los Angeles

“I've been coming here for a while for a few specific things:

-Vietnamese Iced Coffee, it's consistently good. Never had a bad one from here. At 5$ it's a pretty good deal.

-Ham & Cheese Croissant is always solid too whether it's cold or warmed up. Again, never had a bad one from here. I believe it's about 4/4.50$.

-Their filled donuts (Bavarian & Raspberry) are so good too! $1.75 each if I recall correctly.

Service is always great too, I don't know the dudes name (I catch him working mornings), but he's always friendly and efficient at getting your order ready even when he's got a few people in the shop.“

“Family Donuts is one of those classic neighborhood spots that still feels genuine. Fresh donuts, good coffee, friendly service, and that old-school East LA vibe that’s getting harder to find these days. You can tell this is the kind of place locals actually come back to regularly, not just another trendy photo-op shop charging $8 for a donut with cereal glued on top. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

“I always go to this place to order the giant donut! The service is great and the people are friendly. Whenever I tell them the donut is for a birthday, they hook it up and add donut holes in the middle to put the candle and an extra donut as a gift. ❤“

“I stopped by this donut place the other morning and it honestly made my day. The moment I walked in, the smell of fresh donuts filled the whole shop. You could tell everything was made fresh because the trays were constantly being restocked.

I ordered a glazed donut and a cup of coffee, and the donut was warm, soft, and perfectly sweet. The glaze had that light crisp on the outside but melted as soon as I took a bite. It paired perfectly with the coffee.

The staff were really friendly too. They greeted everyone who walked in and made the place feel welcoming. It’s one of those simple spots that reminds you how good a fresh donut and good service can be. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m craving something sweet.“

“Today I came in to try hello you’re welcome and I am so happy that I did. I’m glad this coffee shop popped up on my TikTok fyp. The staff is very friendly. The cashier is very welcoming and attentive. She made you feel like you were a close friend, it’s my bday week and she over heard and put a candle on my strawberry donut which I think is very thoughtful of her. The pastries are scrumptious. The ice vanilla latte was very good they garnish it with cinnamon. Not too bitter not to sweet just right. I will definitely come back. I love the 70s wallpaper, retro look inside. “So, I have been chasing the dragon ever since my favorite donut place closed during the pandemic/immediate aftermath. I have tried a LOT of donut shops. This quaint little shop is the real deal. The person serving the donuts (the owner?) was friendly and genuine. I didn't feel rushed in any way. The donuts.... Soft, perfectly flavored donuts, which are sweet enough but not gooey and nasty. I have found a new favorite donut shop. $15 a dozen is a good price for the Quality of these donuts. Yum!“

“The shop was clean, organized, and the donuts were beautifully displayed with a wide variety of flavors to choose from.

The donuts had the perfect texture, soft and chewy with a light crisp on the outside. They offered flavors like Oreo, Biscoff, Strawberry & Cream, Chocolate, Vanilla Glaze, Fruity Pebbles, and Churro. I also liked that they weren’t overly sweet.

“My spouse and I come here at least once a week. We really enjoy the sandwiches and the iced coffee (strong and sweet, just how I like it). They stuff the sandwiches with lots of ingredients but will leave off any ingredient that you want and even give you pickled peppers on the side. We don't understand why anyone would even go to the Dunkin down the way when you can go to this place. The donuts are big and fresh here. They have such a variety of food and drinks (like fresh juices) that I'm amazed every time. If you think you won't find something you'll like, go in and at least see the menus on the wall.“

“I just love this place. 1 day I was looking on Google for early morning donut shop that was open and I found this place. It opens at 430am. It's also a drive threw. This place is a little hidden gem. If you're ever in Elmonte area, I totally recommend it. They're coffee. It's off the hook. And the donuts are always fresh. My brother and I love going there.
