“I should've asked the lady what time they bake their donuts cuz I can't imagine them staying open until 9pm with barely 4 trays of assorted donuts, croissants, and donut holes left. Got here at 9:30am Friday and that's all that remained... At least I was still able to score some of my favorites!“
“If you are looking for a classic, donut shop with solid standard flavors and diner style coffee, this place is for you. It's an excellent neighborhood shop. It's nothing fancy, but they do the classics and they do them very well and for a great price. I love coming here.“
“TLDR: Donuts are delicious, airy, and not too sweet. How do I describe this donut shop? It's always quiet and dark and empty no matter what time I go. There aren't many donuts in the display and I always enter thinking that it may be closed or that the employees aren't actually there. But then someone will pop their head out from behind a huge stack of boxes and ask what I'd like in a voice as quiet as a whisper. I pick the donuts, pay, and leave. The experience doesn't feel real since it's so outside of the norm of every other donut shop I've ever been to. There's no excitement in the air, no rush, no smell of coffee constantly being brewed, no TV, no music. It's just quiet. As I question why I came here, I take a bite of the donut and am blown away. They're always so airy and light and perfect. They aren't too sweet, dense, or stale tasting. I've tried several different donuts now and have had the same reaction each time. They're PERFECT. The selection may be limited, but the ones they do have are nailed down to a science. It's the only donut shop that actually feels worth the calories.“
“I normally don't yelp anymore, but this is relevant. At first, it's easy to overlook this spot as a typical SoCal strip mall donut place, but it's not. This place has recently had a huge facelift. They no longer sell scratchers and the donut quality has improved by a long shot. I didn't even like this place before the remake. They make fresh juices and smoothies that can easily compete with the bougie spots in Beverly Hills. As I write this, I'm drinking a fantastic orange, beet, and carrot smoothie that tastes like they added sugar even though they didn't. The pastrami on croissant could probably feed two people. Get it with the jalapeño and sprouts. This place has amazing potential and I don't want future customers to overlook it because they don't know how much it's changed.“
“Friday, January 12, I visited this place and the person who attended greeted me with a very good attitude saying that: NOWHERE DO THEY MAKE DONUTS LIKE THIS PLACEI wrote the date and time so that if the administration of this place reads my opinion they can identify and congratulate this employee because there are good things ??“
“The doughnuts here are very interesting and unique. They are pretty good a little busy and definitely bougie. I would recommend giving them a try. They are very pretty but they have a lot going on. The s'more doughnut was quite delicious.“
“A long time customer and this is my favorite place to get chicken. Absolutely the best, hands down. A hidden gem indeed, I love Birdies. I ate them all in one sitting, lol. Delicious, juicy, fresh, high quality and it's worth every penny to me. I hope Birdies stay in business for many years. I highly recommend it to everyone.“
“Visiting from out of town and was so happy to try this entirely gluten free gem! The staff was so friendly, we had breakfast biscuits, donuts, coffee and more. Everything was so good. I also got a caramel bread pudding to go and it was amazing. Like another reviewer said, thank you for existing!!“
“I've had their strawberry shakes and peanut butter shakes so far, and they are so delicious!! The donuts are unbelievably delicious. I wish I had known about this place before. Now I'm a regular.Vegetarian options: It's a vegan donut shop. Safe for vegetarians.Parking: There is paid public parking on 51st Ave. North of York St.Kid-friendliness: Well, they offer donuts, ice cream, and shakes. I guess that makes it kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The shop is on the ground level. There are no stairs to obstruct.“
“Best glazed donuts I've ever had, period. My wife agrees. The owner said she's been there for years, but we never bothered to go until last year. Now, we're hooked. We live about a mile and a half away and so we walk to the store for exercise, then treat ourselves for being good :-)“
“Just went here for the first time today. Ordered ham, cheese, and jalapenos croissants for my husband and me, and donuts for my son. The owners are very friendly, and the croissants were absolutely delicious - and HUGE! My son is still asleep so i don't have his review of the donuts yet but I'm sure they'll be fantastic. The owners even threw in a few donut holes for us - and they were great!“
“This is a really cute tiny spot right across the metro on Flower Street. The inside is very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. I did hear a lot of wonderful things about their matcha but sadly they were out for the day, which is okay it happens; I'll definitely be back for it! The owner was super sweet and a very helpful guy. All the menu items come with oat milk automatically, which is cool- you can always substitute with another milk except for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. I got the two best selling coffees which was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch + G Spot - I loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one it was perfectly flavored, but the G Spot one I had to toss as it was sooooooo sweet it was like drinking sugar; but Im sure that can be pleasant for sweet tooths so I'm not judging! The menu is super extensive so Im pretty sure there is something for everyone to love! Pricing is very high up there, but Im also not going to judge on that as cost of goods are flying through the roof for restaurant industries as well. Overall pretty good :)“
“Donuts are and come with a beautiful story. Johnathon, the owner and baker, works super hard to deliver a quality product and you can taste it! The apple fritter, cinnamon crunch, and glazed old fashioned were our faves but they were all delicious! For walk up they take cash, but if you preorder, you can Zelle and pickup which is super convenient. The letter donuts are super creative and made in whatever delicious flavors you prefer. It's a small place but has a ton of heart and donuts are delicious!“
“Happened across this during a walk in the area. Ordered a crumb donut and it was great. They were about to close so they threw in an extra donut which really wasn't necessary but good to know they aren't wasteful. The taste and friendliness matches the Mr. Goods in Pasadena. Not sure if they are the same owners.“
“The best goto spot when you’re looking for a quick bite, snack, fresh juice, smoothie or coffee.Plenty of options with a wild variety to satisfy your cravings or munchies. This is the local hub in the neighborhood, easy to walk to but also has parking. The ladies who work here are awesome, they acknowledge you when you come in, very helpful, kind and accommodating.Vegetarian options: Big parking lot can also park ok the street“
“My bff brought home 2 vegan pan dulces from here, they were tasty , but not mind blowing. Props & blessings to Them though for making vegan items . I had a pumpkin empanada & concha type pan: too dry imo. I'll recommend cuz they're vegan, but I won't purchase or travel here. Can't opine on the price or parking or staff as I didn't visit the site.“
“The protein coffee are amazing. One of the employees gave us a sample of one of their protein drinks. Which I believe was the peanut butter banana. It was delicious. Uptown Vibe is not just a cafe; it's a destination for those seeking a healthier alternative to their coffee and snack cravings. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed!“
“Helpful quick service. I've lived in the area for years and this is my first time here. Big thumbs up on the ugliest donut ever...but whoa so yum...I'm talking about the blueberry glazed donut. Not a pretty donut, but sooooo gooood. The apple fritter is my moms fav...its bigger than my face...the fritter got a huge smile of mom approval...mom said she'll will be eating this huge slab of fritter for a week. I also ordered the ice coffee...it was cold in a really sturdy cup and delish, super refreshing...my cousin got the lychee drink made to order, no boba asked for, done, also refreshing. Another cousin told me he visits nearly every day and recommended the Boston Creme too, next time. They make a nice variety of sandwiches, will come back to try the sandwiches and the Boston Creme donut. And gotta have another blueberry donut. In fact, I'm going back tomorrow to get a breakfast croissant and assorted bakers dozen...oh yeah...a gem of a donut shop in the SGV.“
“This review is long overdue! I had such a great experience at this location. I have been to the Brea location as well and this one is my favorite. The customer service is great and the food is delicious. I like to eat there because it's better fresh and it was nice and clean inside.“
“What a great donut spot. Staff is friendly and always great you with a smile. The ambiance is your classic donut shop with a glass case to view your doughnuts as you make your selections. They have refrigerates that store your cold drinks like juice, chocolate milk, milk etc. of course they serve coffee for those of you who want one with your donut and they also sell breakfast sandwiches. We usually go for the donuts. Donuts are great. We've had everything from glazed, maple bars, chocolate bars, cake donuts and of course the traditional donut holes. Every donut is very good. You can't go wrong with any one you pick. Looking for a donut and cup of coffee, give this place a try. Oh! You can also buy lotto tickets as well. Stay hungry my friends.“
“We have enjoyed, many years now, the ham and cheese croissants, roast beef and cheese sandwiches, and the large chocolate donuts with chocolate chips and maple long John's. The 2 ladies that serve are always friendly and very hard working with a smile to start everybody's day.Kid-friendliness: They always ask how they're doing in school and wish them happy birthday“
“Yum! Yum! Yum! I could eat here everyday. Wait, don't tell me they're plant-based!?! These tasty, melt-in-your-mouth delights are the best donuts I have ever had. They rival my favorite donut shop back home, but being healthier kinda wins my vote for being the best. The gals working today in the shop were just the nicest folks we met out here in LA. Recommend taking a box of these decadent treats home for later!“
“A humble, unassuming, little donut shop run by the sweetest people. We've come here fairly often for the massive hot breakfast sandwiches that come with a free coffee. (Great prices compared to Starbucks down the street btw). There's a lot of options and I've enjoyed everything I've had here so far. The coffee can be caffeinated or decaf. The creamers are stored to the side with ice packs. There are other drinks in a fridge and snack options to the side of the register. The blueberry donut is really good. I've also enjoyed their custard filled donut which was full of custard. If you order a ham and cheese croissant, they cut it in half and heat it up for you, which is a nice service. The cheese inside is really good. The interior is pretty small, but there's some seats if you want to sit down and have your breakfast. We always get ours to go. On our most recent visit they were having a fundraiser for their friend that perished in the Monterey Park shooting. So glad to have this staple in the neighborhood and to have a small business to support! Highly recommended little breakfast spot :)“
“This is on my way to school & work & I must say I love it. It's not often to find a place the has a turkey & cheese croissant. I recently gave up eating pig & trying to limit my red meat intake & ham & cheese were one of my go to's. I'm glad this location offers this, and the donuts are magnificent. Co-workers have picked up from here & that's how I found out about this gem. The staff is friendly & the shop looks well maintained. Overall I'd say this is a great location, clean environment, & good pastries/baked goods. Thank you“
“We have passed this donut shop for well over 20 plus years....out and about. Boston I decided to drop in and give it a shot coffee is better than Starbucks and their Maple covered donut outstanding. Young lady behind the counter extremely joyful.“
“I always go to the donut shop for its house made sodas or a nice breakfast sandwich but I went with something different and got the sundae and the owners are always nice no matter what the time and always show respect, they always make good food and can make you feel at home and have great service. The environment feels so friendly and nice you can never feel separated or disrespected as they always show respect. Overall a great place“
“For donuts, I give them 5 stars. For coffee, stick to the regular ol' drip pot. The "espresso" drinks are for kids -machine made, super sweet, and don't taste much like actual coffee. I stress, however, their donuts are REALLY good. Fresh n tasty! ??“
“Tops in the area when it comes to the cinnamon roll. Large, and full of the cinnamon flavor. $2.75 puts it in the midrange compared to other shops. Owners are really nice so that's another reason to visit. They also have a crumb version of the cinnamon roll which is fantastic.“
“Excellent donuts here! Just stopped by on a whim and we were very impressed! I had a chocolate twist and my husband got the glazed twist. Both were so excellent that we wouldn't share with each other because we couldn't bear not finishing what we started.... Both donuts were warm and extremely fresh!! The chocolate icing was perfect; not overpowering but very complimentary to the donut that was so flavorful, I could have eaten it plain and still enjoyed it just as much! This place is a gem and we will definitely be back!“
“You will not be disappointed getting coffee here! The coffee is delicious and not to mention the amazing atmosphere here. The minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile from the owners! I can’t get over how CONSISTENT their coffee is. You know sometimes you go places and get a bad cup/ shots are brewed wrong or it’s just overly sweet but every single time I stop the coffee has been nothing but perfect! I enjoy stopping here and wish I could every single day for my coffee!“
“Man oh man how can I explain the flavor kick in these heavenly donuts. Let me just say these are the best donuts in all of man kind. Le glaze donut tasted like the sweetest vanilla glaze ever. So pillowy and soft i demolished the whole thing in like 40 seconds. If you’re in the bell area you must try these delicious donuts.“
“Cinnamon roll here is quite good. It is located in a strip plaza that's not super convenient to turn into but it's a solid option. That said, if you are near the shop you might as well drive down a bit more to Rose Donuts where they have a better cinnamon roll and generally more options, donuts and sandwiches.“
“Was randomly craving donuts and this spot showed up on my google search with a high rating, definitely did not disappoint. They have soooo many options to choose from when it comes down to drinks and food (sandwiches, boba, fresh squeezed juices…) and if you’re feeling lucky, they also have lottery tickets and scratchers. Bought half a dozen donuts which were delicious and 2 drinks. I really enjoyed my green tea lemonade and the raspberry one was also good. The customer service was great. The gentleman who served us our drinks was so nice and welcoming with a great smile. Will definitely be going back.“
“Prices have gone up from when I 1st started going with my GF. I remember my GF and I would go specifically for her bobas but they are now 6$ I remember literally a year ago they were 4.75$ the doughnuts are just ok. You can tell when they are yesterdays or even the day before. They crumble apart. Besides that we did find that going to winchells Doughnuts was much less expensive and better.“
“Donut Factory is a fantastic spot! Their customer service is top-notch, and their donuts are simply delicious. Whether you're a fan of classic glazed or adventurous with unique flavors, they've got you covered. Highly recommended for a sweet treat!“
“Delicious always freshDietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free doughnutsKid-friendliness: Novelty doughnuts and special charactersWheelchair accessibility: Depending on if there's allot of people but foe the most part excellent parking and accessible“
“Best donuts in Pasadena. This is a quintessential Los Angeles donut shop. Biting into their donuts is like biting into a fluffy cloud of sweetness. They taste so delicious. My absolute favorite is the glaze twist, then the chocolate glazed, but they have plenty of options, and also breakfast sandwiches. The service is so kind and pleasant. The ambiance is an old school donut shop from the early 2000s and the experience to having a donut as a kid. I've never been able to find a donut shop that tasted like they did from my childhood until coming here. If you like krispy kreme melt-in-your-mouth donuts, this place is even better because they're more airy and not overpoweringly sugary. I love this place!“
“Free parking. Old fashioned mom and pop donut shop. Glad they still exist. Everything looked so yummy, so many great choices. Like a kid in a candy store (donut store). Chose these this visit: bear claws, apple fritters, chocolate donut, cream filled donuts. Everything tasted fresh and superb. They even threw in two free donut holes in our order. $.50 to use credit card.“
“Quick review: I came in for a couple of donuts after getting a hair cut nearby. Got the sprinkles glazed and the peanuts glazed. Both were really good, not stale. The lady threw in a bunch of donut holes in the bag. I thought that was a nice touch, wasn't expecting that. I'll be back.“
“Great little place, nice people running it. Simple menu with American sandwiches and burgers. Good coffee and doughnuts. Amazing prices especially for LA. Cash only of course, they also have lottery tickets and scratchers if your feeling lucky.“
“the glazed donuts at this place are Amazing!! big fluffy glazed donuts with a fantastic flavored glaze on top.? one of the best donuts I've had in the greater Los Angeles area. the chocolate donuts and cinnamon donuts are good too! I've always had fresh donuts here never old or stale. they also have a pretty good milk tea with boba. give this place a try you won't be disappointed!!?“
“2 sandwiches & 1 coffee for only $13. You can't find a better price for this deal in LA, except for at this neighborhood local bakery! My boyfriend took me here on a sunny Sunday morning for a quick bite before a Clippers game. I was so shocked at the prices, as I'm so used to blown up prices in DTLA. I usually restrain myself from eating a Bagel because I usually can't stop, but I thought, what the hey, the price is so good, why not? The bakery owner will make the sandwich fresh and hot for you if you're willing to wait a quick 5 minutes. I finished the whole thing in one sitting (which I usually don't) because it was just so good. They also have an awesome Vietanmese coffee that will authentically smack you in the face, like it's supposed to. I had such a wonderful experience, I'll definitely be back for the awesome prices and delicious sandwiches.“
“4 stars is for the yummy glazed donuts alone and the nice man who works here. The ham and cheese croissants are not good here and taste old. I thought I got unlucky getting the old croissants 3 times over the last fee years but I think that's just how they taste. Not gonna push my luck here anymore.“
“best sandwiches and cofffeee and donuts sheeeeshhhhh fireeeeeeee if you want to feel the way to heaven this is the places for you very professional, clean, and great meals everything is good here from the looks to the taste sheeeshhhh i come here everday 1000000000/10 FYI even the lottery tickets are good I won $60 on a $5 heavily recommended“
“We wanted a fitting way to remember our son on the first birthday without him. Thank you Daddy’s Donuts for making a special donut for what should have been our son’s 18th birthday. James LOVED bacon. Today was a difficult and sad day for us but being able to share these amazing donuts with others who are missing him too was perfect. Thank you. PS. The bacon was perfection.“
“My boyfriend & I came around early evening. He got a sugar donut, and the owner gave us another one for free, which was very kind of him. Thank you so much! We tried them right when we left the shop. They were tasty, and I'll definitely come back! :D“
“Been coming here over a decade. Sometimes occasionally twice a day to grab a sandwich as well. During CoViD I didn't want them to go under like other businesses so I came by religiously everyday during the work week. The owners are very nice & comical, periodically, calling you "Primo" or "Corazón". They are young people working there now. One is quiet the other is more sociable. Like many businesses they must be struggling because items are becoming smaller. I prefer they stay the same size, I'd pay more because they're convenient. The chocolate glazed cream filled donut 2 days ago hardly had anything in it. Got one yesterday again and it was filled only slightly more than the day before. So went with a bagel today. Didn't have very much cream cheese but she compensated by giving me a bunch of donut holes. Nice touch! At the very least I'll continue to stop by for the coffee. I hope they make it through this rough time.Tip: the days I order a sandwich & stay there to eat. I log on to the neighboring business WiFi (password is their phone#)“
“I came in with a donut craving and got a glazed donut. I'm picky when It comes to sweets because I don't have a big sweet tooth but this donut was light and fluffy and the glaze is such a thin layer that it's not too sweet . 10/10“
“Very nice owner, the donuts are delicious! It is a family business, locate at my mom's neighborhood, always stop by but never really write some review! This one is for support local business! You won't regret to try them!“
“Walked in to this Sun Donuts location on Valley Blvd/ Fremont Ave. Asian lady welcomed me on entrance and had a pretty smile, I just felt bad because I woke up that morning losing my voice and cold barely talk. Donuts were great. Not Uncle Joe's or Rose Donuts, but we're right up there with the best of the best if I may say? FYI folks, for me to include any business to the best.....they have to good and be respected because that's how I roll. So the moral of my story is to get out and try other places and visit different spots to explore your taste buds for they (Your taste buds) will thank you for your hospitality. This is Chuy aka Jesse. Saying Buenos Noches to all from the City of Alhambra where I call my place of residance. ORALE!!Parking: Wide open parking lot in the morning.Kid-friendliness: Sat a child sitting inside. With I believe his father?.“
