“Quality of food, sometimes, is not rated with the amount of money paid in this particular store, the service with humanity and genuine rated at priceless value. Witnessing a customer was short of money to buy food, the couple (owners) graciously offered the food to the customer whatever he could pay, the customer left the store filled with grateful and "soul food" brightened his life. This is not the physical store environment can satisfy the customer. This is a store, to many under financial stress customers, means home.“
“I had a bacon egg and cheese croissant with mayo and avocado along with a cinnamon roll! Really really really good and filling! I had them warm up the cinnamon roll and it topped it off. The customer service was great! Other people were ordering coffee, so they must have a great blend! I recommend!“
“Absolutely amazing, it's fast and the donuts tastes good. The owner is such a sweet lady and you can definitely tell how hardworking she is. You can see the love she puts into the donuts, absolutely amazing. The prices are so well thought out too, this place is definitely a hidden gem. (There's a lot of variety in the menu too)“
“The breakfast bagels are AMAZING! Be warned though, they're prepared AS you order and they get plenty of orders so be prepared to wait. You'll get a few transients walking by (it is Garvey Ave in El Monte) so don't be startled. Other than that, you'll always find the locals sitting and enjoying a quick bite in their booths.“
“Just a great family-owned shop. They’ve got some of the best donuts I have ever had. I am from San Francisco, and I can tell you, these donuts are better than any I have had in the city. Their sandwiches are a great size, especially for the price. $12 for a hot cup of coffee, huge sandwich with all the fixings, side of hot chilis and a large, perfectly fried glazed donut. “Right off the freeway. Got two dozens that the guy put in a mixed assortment. Fresh and good but a bit on the pricier side for 12 instead of a bakers dozen as compared to some name brand places. Thought these small shops would be cheaper than franchises“
“Donut Capital was one of the few places opened early morning on a weekend. Came for a quick bite. Large parking lot. Super friendly service. Indoor seating. Ordered ahead and the sandos were ready on time. Egg, Turkey, Cheese Bagel - $5.50 Egg, Ham, Cheese Bagel - $5.50 Bagels were more like bread in a round shape. Toppings were good and simple. Donuts were about a buck each. 6 sprinkle holes were a buck also.“
