“This was my first time getting donuts here but the service was fast. I went early in the morning, around 7 am, so there was hardly a line and plenty of parking. I got the house mix dozen donuts for $15. A single glazed donut is $1.65 I believe. They didn't provide a receipt so I can't check. If you choose your own mix of a dozen donuts, the starting price is $16.Overall a nice mom-and-pop store for donuts!“
“What a great donut shop. We had a party with dietary needs and the vegan selection here was so awesome. My kids also tried the strawberry shortcake donut and chocolate with M&M's on top. The staff was very nice, donuts were stocked with more coming out of the back. Definitely recommend.“
“What a morning i had today. I got up from bed had bad sleep and was rushing to work and then i forgot i promised my boys some doughnuts i had to stop by on my way.He had a great energy i don’t know his name but he seemed so energetic and his energy made me feel good!!I took the doughnuts and literally everyone was praising how good these doughnuts were and i was surprised too !!“
“I don’t even like doughnuts, but their matcha doughnut is really good. Their iced coffee and croissant sandwiches are also a really great pick. They always have a good variety of doughnuts to try with amazing flavors! Definitely one of the best doughnut shops in the area“
“Visiting from out of town and was so happy to try this entirely gluten free gem! The staff was so friendly, we had breakfast biscuits, donuts, coffee and more. Everything was so good. I also got a caramel bread pudding to go and it was amazing. Like another reviewer said, thank you for existing!!“
“I'm new in the neighborhood, from New York. They make great coffee, doughnuts, drinks and sandwiches. The girl was pleasant and spoke politely. The prices are good and this will now be my go to coffee shop. I highly recommend this coffee spot.“
“We ordered giant donuts to use as a cake for my donut-loving son on his fourth birthday and this year on his sixth. I couldn't reach anyone by phone but I did get a same-day response when I sent a message through Yelp. We did three chocolate icing and three maple icing. They were fun and fluffy til we made a donut tower.“
“Excellent donuts here! Just stopped by on a whim and we were very impressed! I had a chocolate twist and my husband got the glazed twist. Both were so excellent that we wouldn't share with each other because we couldn't bear not finishing what we started.... Both donuts were warm and extremely fresh!! The chocolate icing was perfect; not overpowering but very complimentary to the donut that was so flavorful, I could have eaten it plain and still enjoyed it just as much! This place is a gem and we will definitely be back!“
“Only donut place I know where donuts are still around a buck (a buck fifty to be precise), and sells out during the week and line out the door to buy boxes of donuts after 4pm. But I say the best time to go is at 10am, or 2 pm. Coffee goes very good with her donuts around 2pm.The donuts have thin and crispy layer of skin as u bite in, then you will experience soft - fluffy - ness and gooey - ness all at the same time, as you bite down. I say the perfect texture for a donut; you then suddenly realize you have missed out on this all your life with other things you thought they were "donuts". The oil is very light and not soggy or heavy like at some boutique donut shops. Her donuts are perfectly flavored, not too sweet or doughy, just right. Her donuts are the definition of PERFECT donuts. You just don't believe it at first that you paid only about buck and half for this, and then recall all the other moments you had to pay more for other "donuts".I recommend, Suger graze, chocolate graze ( the best) and apple fritter ( lots of cinnamon).I feel so blessed to know this spot I can go to, is about a mile away from me! I say this is too good to be true!“
“Pleasant coffee smell and good friendly faces are a good combo. I always come here for boba and breakfast croissant sandwiches. And they are DELISH! Sometimes I come in here and buy breakfast more than once a week because its THAT GOOD! Donuts are always freshly made too. They've been around since before I moved to the area (about 13 years ago) and they're always in a good mood. The food industry is hard but I can tell they love what they do! Their boba's are as good if not BETTER than the local Bobaloca. This place is the neighborhood donut shop I grew up with and will be a fond memory forever. :)“
“Picture it~ you walk into a donut shop. You order a jelly donut and when you bit into it, half of it has no jelly! Why? Because they insert a dollop of jelly with a piping bag. Noooo thank you!WELL NOT THIS PLACE! NOT NEW DONUT!They slice the donut in half and slam on the jelly! I was so impressed that I sent this photo to the family chat and wrote this review. In these troubling times of "shrinkflation/ inflation" New Donut has risen above and beyond to remind me what Jelly donuts are supposed to be about.....the Jelly. *chef kiss*Thank you New Donut~ I'll be back for another~“
“My boyfriend & I came around early evening. He got a sugar donut, and the owner gave us another one for free, which was very kind of him. Thank you so much! We tried them right when we left the shop. They were tasty, and I'll definitely come back! :D“
“The best chocolate concha I’ve had outside of Mexico! I’ve had it twice on different days and it’s consistently good. The cafe de olla cold brew is good too. Not too sweet with nice subtle spices. The gal who works at the cashier is nice too. Good prices.“
“The protein coffee are amazing. One of the employees gave us a sample of one of their protein drinks. Which I believe was the peanut butter banana. It was delicious. Uptown Vibe is not just a cafe; it's a destination for those seeking a healthier alternative to their coffee and snack cravings. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed!“
“This review is long overdue! I had such a great experience at this location. I have been to the Brea location as well and this one is my favorite. The customer service is great and the food is delicious. I like to eat there because it's better fresh and it was nice and clean inside.“
“Helpful quick service. I've lived in the area for years and this is my first time here. Big thumbs up on the ugliest donut ever...but whoa so yum...I'm talking about the blueberry glazed donut. Not a pretty donut, but sooooo gooood. The apple fritter is my moms fav...its bigger than my face...the fritter got a huge smile of mom approval...mom said she'll will be eating this huge slab of fritter for a week. I also ordered the ice coffee...it was cold in a really sturdy cup and delish, super refreshing...my cousin got the lychee drink made to order, no boba asked for, done, also refreshing. Another cousin told me he visits nearly every day and recommended the Boston Creme too, next time. They make a nice variety of sandwiches, will come back to try the sandwiches and the Boston Creme donut. And gotta have another blueberry donut. In fact, I'm going back tomorrow to get a breakfast croissant and assorted bakers dozen...oh yeah...a gem of a donut shop in the SGV.“
“My friends came to stay with me and we stumbled across this cute little coffee shop inside the store Local Fixture. The store itself is absolutely adorable with so many unique finds. I love that they have a little coffee bar inside with a seasonal and curated drink menu! My friends and I all enjoyed our coffee. I will definitely be back.“
“Delicious ham and cheese croissants! I was in the plaza for Autozone and decided to check out this donut shop. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and glazed donut. The glazed donut was good but the ham and cheese croissant was even better! The croissant was huge with a buttery, crispy exterior - pretty fresh croissants in my opinion! This place is a classic 2-in-1 donut and lottery store and everyone was buying a ticket/scratcher.Adequate parking is available in the plaza!“
“I always order #3 with jalapeños and a carrot/orange juice from here. I have tried the carrot/orange combo from so many places, thinking it should taste the same since it's literally carrot and orange. Boy, was I wrong. The carrot/orange from here is unmatched and actually tastes like carrots and oranges. Other places will add more orange where I won't be able to taste the carrot. Also, when o do ask for more carrots, or doesn't taste right. I'm going to miss this place when I move. It was myGo to for some many years Dow my long drive to work at 6am. Staff here are super nice and it is clean compared to other donut shops.“
“Food smells amazingFresh food I have never had something here that delicious my favorite its Boba drinks doesn't teast like powder which I love and the sandwiches are of the chain try them allMy kiddos love the donuts ? the ones with decorations I definitely bring my friends and family they come to visit“
“I recently had the pleasure of trying the delicious treats from Bakers Dozen Donuts and let me tell you, they exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered the shop, the warm and inviting aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, instantly making my mouth water.First and foremost, the donuts themselves were absolutely divine. Each one was meticulously crafted with perfection and had just the right amount of sweetness. The dough was incredibly soft, airy, and incredibly fresh. I was blown away by the wide variety of flavors they offered, from classic flavors like chocolate and glazed, to unique and innovative combinations such as maple bacon and lemon lavender. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and it was evident that they use the finest quality ingredients. What truly sets Bakers Dozen Donuts apart is their attention to detail and exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help you navigate through their extensive menu. They genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction and take pride in their creations. The donuts are beautifully presented, showcasing their dedication to making each treat a work of art.The shop itself is cozy and clean, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and indulging in a donut or two. Whether you're seeking a quick breakfast on the go or a well-deserved treat throughout the day, Bakers Dozen Donuts is sure to satisfy your cravings.Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Bakers Dozen Donuts to anyone searching for the ultimate donut experience. Their exceptional flavors, top-notch customer service, and cozy atmosphere combine to create a truly memorable visit. Trust me, once you've tried their donuts, you'll be hooked and eager to come back for more!“
“Came here for the ever so famous custard & cream puffs. You can get custard filling or cream filling. Got custard 6 for $5. They come semi frozen, so I guess you have to wait until they thaw out. Otherwise they taste like ice shave. The puff is dry. Pretty terrible either way. It's a small donut shop. The ladies greet you and they're very nice.“
“Quality of food, sometimes, is not rated with the amount of money paid in this particular store, the service with humanity and genuine rated at priceless value. Witnessing a customer was short of money to buy food, the couple (owners) graciously offered the food to the customer whatever he could pay, the customer left the store filled with grateful and "soul food" brightened his life. This is not the physical store environment can satisfy the customer. This is a store, to many under financial stress customers, means home.“
“i love love loveeeeee this place, the owners are the absolute kindest people ever. i come in everyday and order the exact same thing...an iced coffee and a egg and cheese bagel & it always tastes amazing! (their iced coffee is divineeee) so i 100% recommend!!“
“Great little place, nice people running it. Simple menu with American sandwiches and burgers. Good coffee and doughnuts. Amazing prices especially for LA. Cash only of course, they also have lottery tickets and scratchers if your feeling lucky.“
“We have enjoyed, many years now, the ham and cheese croissants, roast beef and cheese sandwiches, and the large chocolate donuts with chocolate chips and maple long John's. The 2 ladies that serve are always friendly and very hard working with a smile to start everybody's day.Kid-friendliness: They always ask how they're doing in school and wish them happy birthday“
“After dinner at Chili's my father in law was craving for donuts especially apple fritter one of his favorite donut. We decided to come to Kong Donuts walking distance from Chucky Cheese. They have a good selections of donuts at the time we went there. We got half dozen donuts including apple fritters for my father in law.“
“Been coming here over a decade. Sometimes occasionally twice a day to grab a sandwich as well. During CoViD I didn't want them to go under like other businesses so I came by religiously everyday during the work week. The owners are very nice & comical, periodically, calling you "Primo" or "Corazón". They are young people working there now. One is quiet the other is more sociable. Like many businesses they must be struggling because items are becoming smaller. I prefer they stay the same size, I'd pay more because they're convenient. The chocolate glazed cream filled donut 2 days ago hardly had anything in it. Got one yesterday again and it was filled only slightly more than the day before. So went with a bagel today. Didn't have very much cream cheese but she compensated by giving me a bunch of donut holes. Nice touch! At the very least I'll continue to stop by for the coffee. I hope they make it through this rough time.Tip: the days I order a sandwich & stay there to eat. I log on to the neighboring business WiFi (password is their phone#)“
“A humble, unassuming, little donut shop run by the sweetest people. We've come here fairly often for the massive hot breakfast sandwiches that come with a free coffee. (Great prices compared to Starbucks down the street btw). There's a lot of options and I've enjoyed everything I've had here so far. The coffee can be caffeinated or decaf. The creamers are stored to the side with ice packs. There are other drinks in a fridge and snack options to the side of the register. The blueberry donut is really good. I've also enjoyed their custard filled donut which was full of custard. If you order a ham and cheese croissant, they cut it in half and heat it up for you, which is a nice service. The cheese inside is really good. The interior is pretty small, but there's some seats if you want to sit down and have your breakfast. We always get ours to go. On our most recent visit they were having a fundraiser for their friend that perished in the Monterey Park shooting. So glad to have this staple in the neighborhood and to have a small business to support! Highly recommended little breakfast spot :)“
“BC Donut has been in business for THIRTYY years. They are in a small plaza on corner of Altadena and Foothill in Pasadena, near the freeway 210 freeway, and have many many regulars as a result of their running a successful donut shop for decades. I've seen the shop go thru renovations over the last few years, becoming more modernized with TVs and new paint. I'm actually not a huge huge fan of donuts in general but I do really like how they make crueler and buttermilk styles. They also have Mochi style donuts and waffle style donuts, which I have never tried but seem interesting. For breakfast items, I have gotten the bacon egg cheese croissant sandwhich a few times and I really enjoy it. A few others including staff have also said this sandwhich is their favorite one on the menu. The croissants for the sandwhich are not made in-house but they are baked onsite, which is still special. It is not great value at almost $10 for a sandwhich, but it is a nice treat to have before or after a long morning.Overall I wish BC another successful 30 years :)“
“THIS IS AN UPDATE: 02/21/2024! Been coming to Uncle Joe's Donuts for many years now. Folks! If you haven't experienced an Uncle Joe's Donut?!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!! Well, we're only on this earth for borrowed time, so if and when you do get in there and see what I'm talking about, it'll be like you're in heaven, may I say?they are located on San Gabriel Blvd/ El Monte St, in the Barrio San Gabriel aka SG. . They Are one of my best donut places of all time.. They usually have what I'm looking for in a donut, keep in mind, after like 6 or 7, they tend to run low on choice donuts since they close at 10 pm. All the other Mom and Pops places close at 3 or 5 pm. With thee exception of Yum Yum which we're not talking about them. Lol! With either a glass of milk, cocoa, and or coffee. They hit the spot . This is Chuy aka Jesse Viramontes Big Sneeks1 from SanGra- Where I came from. The place I know all too well. ORALE, with Respect.“
“Me and my dad get coffee every other weekend and we tried a few other places but this place is probably the best since the service is great, the food is immaculate, and the place is always clean, tidy, and organized. Tried a lot of different things and all have been perfect, the donuts, the sandwiches, the coffee, and especially the smoothies that remind of a licuado from Mexico. It has definitely become a staple in my life.“
“I love this place ! First. The lady behind the counter is so sweet and kind. Great service ! The food was delicious. The donuts were amazingggggg ! I scarfed mine down before taking a picture haha. We also had the. Real fast croissant sandwiches. Delicious as well !Only weird thing is every time I’ve comeIn here there’s these guys that just sit here playing lotto. So the tables are always taken. But other than that this place is a great little gem !“
“We tried out this place on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. Got the one dozen "Classic Mix" and they tasted great. Very fresh. The place is very clean and bright. Plus they take ATM/credit cards! This will now be my local ? shop.“
“All donuts are not created equal. When I first ate a donut from here, i was expecting the usual taste like most places , just ok. But there really is a difference, more lighter, better flavor to the frosting, all these little Things that make it just that much better. No joke, i retried others, no contest. My pick, and Im picky!!!“
“Man oh man how can I explain the flavor kick in these heavenly donuts. Let me just say these are the best donuts in all of man kind. Le glaze donut tasted like the sweetest vanilla glaze ever. So pillowy and soft i demolished the whole thing in like 40 seconds. If you’re in the bell area you must try these delicious donuts.“
“This place is a true Gem. I woke around the corner and will got out of my way on my 30 min lunch to drive over and get a sandwich. Everyone single sandwich I have ordered so far has been absolutely delicious. The prices are pretty reasonable. And the service is always great, the welcome you ima me acknowledge you if they are busy helping another guest. Also they are pretty my quick, every time I have gone there are other customers waiting and they get us all out in a reasonable time. The fresh juice is also delicious!“
“This place has deliciously, fantastic donuts! They're made on the premises, not shipped in from some ginormous factory bakery. If you get there early and they're still warm, they're some of the best donuts you'll ever have.“
“I recently tried the bagel sandwich from YumYum and it was absolutely delicious! The sandwich was plentiful and packed with flavor. I really appreciated that they weren't stingy with the toppings - every bite was loaded with delicious ingredients.I've had a few sandwiches from YumYum before and they never disappoint. The quality of their ingredients and attention to detail is really evident in every bite. If you're looking for a satisfying and tasty lunch option, you can't go wrong with the bagel sandwich from YumYum. I highly recommend it! Pro tip: use the croissant instead of bagel *chefs kiss*“
“This a fantastic stop. The croissants and bagels are excellent and the donuts hit the spot. They have coolers upon coolers filled with a variety of drinks and rare flavors of your favorite beverages (I had a Sour Pink Lemonade Ghost energy drink this morning.). The coffee is what you need when you need it. It is right off or at the on-ramp of the freeway and across from a gas station. To top it all off, the service is fast and friendly. It is my go-to spot, arriving at work or on my way home. Enjoy.“
“Great place to get excellent donuts at a unbelievable price I might add. They are really one of the last of your neighborhood donuts shop, and I for one feel it's a dang shame I have to go all the way to Lake Ave in Pasadena, when less then 2 blocks away from my house is Eagle Rocks own donut shop. But you won't catch me there, unless I'm buying lotto tickets or cashing them in. Because I can get a half dozen fresh donuts at Gladstones, where-as here at my local your lucky if you can manage to get one donut( not always fresh) and 2 dollar scratchers, be sure I didn't say two donuts, cause for that same $8.50 you wont be getting the 2nd, and at Gladstones you'll be on your way to getting your 2nd half dozen in comparison.“
“I’ve been coming to this donut shop for nearly 15 years. Consistent staff, donuts and service. I love this place and will always return. ❤️ I’d recommend the Iced Coffee, any donut, croissant sandwhiches or a warmed jalapeño croissant.“
“I've been here several times already and each time I have gone It has been a good experience. The staff is polite and you can tell they're in a hurry to make sure your order is ready to go. I can't tell you how the coffee is since I don't drink it myself. but I will say the donuts are fresh and delicious As well as several of their hot food items That I have tried. The only downside is that If you drive a large vehicle such as a large work truck parking can be difficult Depending on the time of day you go.“
“Right off the freeway. Got two dozens that the guy put in a mixed assortment. Fresh and good but a bit on the pricier side for 12 instead of a bakers dozen as compared to some name brand places. Thought these small shops would be cheaper than franchises“
“First came here long ago as a grad student and I still stop by she ver I'm in the area. Very friendly mom-and-pop place with excellent donuts. They aren't of a fancy variety, just well prepared so as to taste fresh and not greasy. Get one more than you think you want.“
“the glazed donuts at this place are Amazing!! big fluffy glazed donuts with a fantastic flavored glaze on top.? one of the best donuts I've had in the greater Los Angeles area. the chocolate donuts and cinnamon donuts are good too! I've always had fresh donuts here never old or stale. they also have a pretty good milk tea with boba. give this place a try you won't be disappointed!!?“
“This review is 35+ yrs in the making. Yes, I visited this place EVERY SINGLE MORNING, for two school years, Monday thru Friday without fail. Even on the faithful morning of the Whittier narrows earthquake. I lived thru it in their parking lot. I have searched high and low for a plain buttermilk bar that might slightly be compared to theirs, and I have yet to find any. Mind you, I haven't been here since the summer of '89, so I'm not sure if the quality remains. Their plain buttermilk bars were PERFECT!!! Crispy and crunchy on the outside, not too doughy but not too airy on the inside. Perfect balance of buttermilk. Every single donut shop I have visited since then doesn't even come close. The majority, their plain buttermilk bars are stale, 2 or 3 days old, with too much dough in the center, making them inedible. Mind you, this review is for the plain buttermilk bar ONLY, not the shop nor the service. That's why it gets 5s. If anyone has visited this place recently and ordered the plain buttermilk bar, please let me know. Also, if anyone knows of a shop that has higher quality plain buttermilk bars, also let me know. I have been hesitant to return because I don't want to be disappointed that they don't make them the same. I will continue my search, and keep my that you guys out there will assist me.“
“The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The people here are very polite and friendly. There's very few seating but it's comfy. There's an atm which is cool. There's also no music playing which is awesome. I love being able to talk normally and enjoy ambient sounds.“
“Wonderful donut shop to buy from the shop owners are very polite, they're always friendly every time i come to buy Donuts. The Donuts are always fresh and very soft, i buy from here once a week. If you come early in the morning, you'll have plenty of parking on the lot as well as almost Zero traffic. I love coming here and will continue to do so for as long as i keep living in Highland park. By the way, if your into ham and cheese croissants, you gotta try theirs. They taste great and the cheese does NOT taste expired like other places i have tried. The ham and cheese croissants are always fresh!“
“Ummmm… I was today years old when I found out Rose Donuts had amazing sandwiches! I got a small Ultimate Sub and it was amazing. The bread and all the ingredients were so fresh. I just ate it a few seconds ago and am literally craving it already lol looks like I’ll be back soon.Oh also, the sweetest Auntie and Uncle run the shop and they even threw in 2 donut holes to go with my order. ?“
