I was at the thrift shop and got really hungry, so I stopped into this bakery. I asked for a pupusa but the cashier said it would be 15 min and tacos would be faster. So I went with 2 asada tacos. Two tacos came out to $6.50. The tacos were pretty good. And the ambiance was really casual so it's a good quick place to eat.
I've been looking for tamales on the Westside since I've been spending more time on this side of town. Stopped in for the first time at Manoly's and ordered the chicken tamales and the mole tamales, and liked them both very much.Manoly's is a Oaxacan bakery and restaurant. I finally found good tamales in Santa Monica! Luckily this place appeared on Postmates. Looks like they offer delivery so I will try that next time. I ordered their tamales oxaquenos (mole), green sauce tamales, and red sauce tamale. All delicious. I look forward to trying more items from here (such as their papusas, taquitos, flan and more).
