I do enjoy some good Korean rice cake (or "dduk") from time to time, but I've rarely gone out of my way to get any before. However, my wife and I were about to visit my parents and decided to buy them some rice cakes. We checked Yelp on the way to Koreatown and this place was at the top of the results. I ordered my baby's 1st birthday dduk here and it was AMAZING!!!! She is just the sweetest person ever and made the cakes super pretty! I didn't want a regular cake but a rice cake "cake" and she made me the most beautiful cake I could have ever dreamed off! She makes all of the decorations by hand!!! I was sooooo impressed!!! Nak Won's gul pyun ttuk (rice cake) is the best. Perfectly soft, chewy, and nutty from the sesame oil. Simple food made perfect. I purchased mine across the street at HK Mart--it's super fresh.
