Speranza is a lovely Italian restaurant with a mixed experience. The atmosphere is charming with outdoor seating, blankets, and heaters. The food, like Linguini & Clams and squid ink risotto, was mostly pleasant, although some dishes were disappointing like rubbery lobster and overcooked pasta. The bruscetta pomodoro was a standout. The service was a letdown, with indifferent staff and confusion over the added 18% service charge. The messy garden ambiance and lack of cleanliness were noticeable, with no effort to reset tables between courses. Despite the overpricing and small portions, Speranza has potential with improvements needed in service, communication about policies like corkage fees, and overall attention to detail in both food and ambiance.
