I thought my friend was pulling my leg when we pulled up to a strip mall/grocery store parking lot for sushi. Looks (or maybe in this case, location) can be deceiving! Extremely fresh and delicious fish, with a very attentive, polite, knowledgeable staff. The omakase was the perfect amount of food. This establishment once held the reputation as one of the finest sushi restaurants in Los Angeles, pioneering Omakase-style Japanese cuisine in its early days. It even secured a coveted Michelin star back in 2009.
