Thai Ocean is a small, family-run restaurant known for its delicious pad se ew and jasmine tea. They also serve an okay orange chicken. The prices are very cheap, and the restaurant stays open late, making it a convenient spot for a casual meal. The friendly staff, including a sweet grandmother waitress and a young English-speaking teenager, make guests feel welcome. The grandmother gives a 'straight from Grandma's kitchen' feeling to the food and often offers fried plantains and fried bananas at no extra charge. Many customers come for the seafood soup, and dishes like Chowmeain are also popular. Parking can be a bit difficult with compact and metered street parking, but despite some noise from other diners, it remains a cozy place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
