The Escondite Reviews
I've been there once and it was fine last time. The cocktails were quick and the atmosphere was good. Overall, it was pretty good
This is an awesome bar i love it. very welcoming and great staff. fast service and the food is delicious.
Fun bars with excellent music, mix of 80's alternative, hip hop & everything in between. Located near skid row, you check in with security downstairs, walk up to this 2nd floor hideaway as you pay for the cover & they hand you a red cup where you write your name & keep all night for your drinks. We took our friend for his birthday but the 2 bartenders seemed EXTREMELY overwhelmed & not so friendly. When we asked for the check, it was about $200 but it was not itemized & did not...read full review

The Escondite is a convenient and affordable restaurant that serves great food, including flavorful burgers made with fresh, never-frozen patties. This laid-back spot has a unique atmosphere, with a mix of live music events, including biker gatherings, and a cozy setting that attracts a diverse crowd. The bartenders, like Mannaimal, are known for their excellent service and craft gr8 drinks. The menu offers a range of tasty options, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality. The venue features indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor sections and extra picnic benches out front to chill with friends. It is a dog-friendly place, but visitors are advised to bring earmuffs for their pets as it can get loud. The decor is meticulous, with a saloon/tavern vibe, antler chandeliers, and Old Style beers. The Escondite hosts live bands and music regularly, creating a lively and fun atmosphere. There is no clear signage, so guests should look for the opening in the gated parking lot. The parking lot patio has a grungy LA vibe with an outdoor smoking area, and sometimes a fire dancer performs, adding to the unpredictable entertainment. For those who prefer less crowd, the place tends to be pretty empty, offering a relaxed environment. Visitors can enjoy Malort shots, a nod to Chicago, and soak in the killer ambience inside. Whether dropping in for a pint or enjoying the live music, The Escondite is a hidden gem perfect for a night out or a casual meal.
