First Japanese restaurant I've been to in LA, and a good one at that. Try the chicken katsu curry!
Amazing sushi restaurant. It has been my go to Japanese food spot for the past 5 years. Everything here is good. Even the hot green tea which is strong and pair so well with the food.

Based on the reviews, Totoyama Sushi & Ramen Hollywood is an amazing sushi restaurant and a go-to Japanese food spot. Everything is good, from the sushi and ramen to the hot green tea which is strong and pairs well with the food. The ramen is the best, with chicken ramen that is insanely good, a good amount of chicken, and a perfect portion size. The vegan broth creamy and tomato broth ramen is tasty and tummy filling. The sushi is top notch, including the rainbow roll and soft shell crab hand roll with perfect bite-sized rolls. The nigiri trust me set, wagyu nigiri, and chu-toro nigiri are all excellent. The udon has perfectly chewy noodles with a rich, fragrant broth. The ingredients are very fresh, giving a clean taste. Service is friendly, kind, and fast. The restaurant is a clean place located at the steps of the Pantages.
