“Absolutely love staying at this resort, and the Clubhouse Grill is a large part of that. Lively atmosphere, always friendly servers, and excellent food! Fun to eat outside on the patio while watching live music or golfers (depending on the day), or to eat inside watching sports on the large screen TVs. My husband generally gets the rib eye, and I have a few different favorites.“

Usually I always say firestone has some of the best most consistent trip tip and this sandwich right here give them a run for there money! The western checked all the boxes! “I've traveled a lot to the Seattle area and wasn't sure what to expect for oysters, but they were exceptional, they get them fresh on Friday and they are perfectly briny, the wines are good, also had the bread and butter. Quiet spot, shucking your own oysters I thought was fun, but you can get them shucked as well.“

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.“

“We went for lunch. We have been here before for lunch. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and sweet potato fries. Hubby ordered the Apple Pie Burger and regular fries. The fries were good. The Burger was above average but not great. My chicken salad could use more chicken. I had ordered this before years ago and the recipe has not changed.“

“This place is amazing!! Excellent fine dining! Every bite perfection! Beautiful views of the bay and morro rock. Excellent chocolate old fashioned, bread with oil and vinegar, out of this world local oysters and crab cakes, unbelievably good crispy sand dabs, and incredible pistachio ice cream and salted butterscotch creme brulee. The best meal ive had in years“

“We just happened to be staying in town on Valentine’s Day and they had a special set menu. Ohhh so good, we got the scallops, salad and desert. I could literally live on the salad. The risotto was so good! We ate upstairs and it was really cozy with the heaters and the nighttime atmosphere. The bar was lively and fun, our service was a bit slow but everything is so fresh! I can understand it is made to order. My only complaint, I’m so sorry but, I am a spicy Bloody Mary “snob” and the one here was not good at all. But that’s it! We loved everything else. Now to the owners who reply to reviews, I would have come here with all 1 star reviews just from reading your replies!!! Whoever you are I spent an hour reading reviews and your priceless replies! I adore you 😂 But honestly, really good food and very fun and great atmosphere. Back sooner than later♥️“

“My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience eating at the Gardens of Avila . I had the Pacific Halibut . the fish was cooked to perfection and was fresh and very tasty. My girlfriend had the salmon and it was equally delicious . The vegetables are so fresh and great tasting that accompanied our meals. we loved the ambience of the restaurant as it is part of the Sycamore hot springs resort hotel . We had a great waitress who recommended coming to stay at the hotel that has hot spring tubs in each room . We were presently surprised by this and will very much make reservations to stay at the resort in the very near future. So weather or not you stay at the hotel or not the Gardens of Avila is a great restaurant Overall a very spectacular restaurant to eat at and at a great value.“

“We decided to try them on a whim, simply because I was curious to finally try escargot. Everything was so delicious! We just tried them today, and they are now on my list of absolute favorite places! The food is so delicious, the staff are amazing, and the views are stunning. 10/10. I can’t wait to come back!“

“All the staff in the restaurant are great. Bar is wonderful and bartender is super friendly. The dinner items that we ordered:
Nachos - no flavor at all. Could have used salsa and seasoning on the ground meat.
Steak and fries - great flavor if they eased up on the garlic. The cut of meat was not correct for that dish. It was way too chewy. I would have used a skirt steak, medium cooked.
Mac n cheese - no flavor and really soupy. So bland!!!
Breakfast burritos - ask for the potatoes on the side not in the burrito. The chunks are way too big. Flavor was great. Could have used some beans in it.
Biscuits and gravy - really great dish! Seasoned well and the biscuit were buttery. I got the fried chicken on the side. Good crust. Nice flavor. Too thin so it was a little dry. I probably would have preferred the sausage.“
