“The pizza is super new york style totally foldable great crispy crust. It's chewy paired with a great red sauce!! I recommend the "meat grinder!" pizza. or the triple threat works as well with choosing your own 3 toppings. Just tried the "LOADED POTATOE SOUP!!!!!" OH MY!!!!!!!!!! Most flavorful potatoe soup I've ever had. As a matter of fact one of the best flavors you will ever try in food period! a must have! coloma resident since 2011“

“Delicious pizza and great gourmet topping pairings. I may order extra crispy next time, especially for takeout as my crust was a little more moist than I would like. Veggies, fresh mozzarella and Ricotta can be challenging because they add a lot of moisture. I'm sure the chefs are more knowledgable than me but I recommend having those ingredients staged on a towel to dry and/or adjusting the bake time. Possibly adding them a couple minutes after the crust has started baking. I'll order a cheese pizza next time too because that's a real good measure of pizza. I'm from MA/NY area so I'm a snob but for California this pizza far exceeds industry standard. I do miss quality cheap pizza though!“

“Almost full (inside & out) around 3pm (Football) so decided to come back after errands. Ordered to-go; great, friendly service, really delicious food (again) and timely. We've eaten here a few times (dining in & carry-out alternately) and the food is always excellent and the staff are always friendly and great. Environment is QUITE surprising inside - outside looks like a family-friendly! We ordered our favorite burgers, garlic fries & house salad again and they do not disappoint! We have tried the fish 'n' chips and the patty melt as well and they are outstanding.

“This is one of the best pizza places, probably in El Dorado county. I’ve been to quite a few pizza places, but not only the pizza but the customer service. Being greeted with a smile every time you go in the fast service it’s clean exterior and interior. And it is absolutely positively the best darn pizza and I’ve ever had ! Mind you I have tried the all meat, combination n the vegetarian. And all of the pieces I’ve had and next one I’m gonna get the Stromboli but every pizza I’ve had has been the most delicious well prepared Amazing tasteful lots of condiments on it. The crust to topping ratio was perfect. There was plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. The cashier was helpful and recommended several options. She did look tired, but she was friendly and accommodating. The staff is organized and keeps the restaurant clean. I would recommend the restaurant put screens over the openings on the back patio. “I can not state which pizza is the best due to the fact that everyone has their own preference. The Greenwood Lake Pizza is one of my favorites. I also enjoy the veggie pizzas. The option to add or remove toppings from any pizza is great. There is also a lunch special available of a slice and soda (the slices are pleasing, lol). This establishment also makes dessert style pizzas, which are tasty. Not only is the environment clean, but the employees are friendly/ polite. The Local Take and Bake can be seen as a bit pricey, but worth it. If you are looking for quality ingredients and want something different in the world of pizza, I suggest The Local Take & Bake. Another great thing is that they accept EBT payment for take and bake only.As far as both locations being wheelchair, mobility impaired (ADA compliant), it is accessible, but the doors are manual open only, which can be an obstacle. The Cool, CA. Location has a low counter, which makes it easy to pay and receive your change and your order. The location in Garden Valley, CA, has a high countertop at which to pay and receive, but I would like to say that if you were wheelchair bound, the employees/owner would be helpful, even when it comes to getting the door for you.“

There's a CVS closeby too, so could shop there for upcoming hiking trip while the order was being prepared. “I've been ordering Pizza from this location for years. They're always friendly, the manager is awesome and the food is great. But, what made me write this review is Chloe. I stopped in to grab a pizza after a terrible day. I've been going through a lot lately. I don't have the greatest family to put it nicely. Ive been extremely emotional. I was a little flustered when ordering. Chloe was so nice an helpful and I apologized and told her I've had a long terrible day. When i went back in to grab my pizza Chloe said "I made u a cookie, I hope things get better for you." Then when I got home and opened my pizza box. On the inside on the top of the box it said. "I hope this cheers you up and things get better for you. I literally cried. I needed that at that moment. I needed to be reminded that there are people in this world with huge hearts that care. Just little acts of kindness like that really help. You never know what someone is going through and how much those little things can mean. Thank you Chloe. You are a beautiful person with a beautiful heart don't ever let anything change that.

It wouldn't be a stretch to say this is the best food in El Dorado County. The cuisine is Italian fusion rather than straight Italian, but it works incredibly well! Make sure you start with the Piemontese Bagna Cauda (AKA "Hot Bath"). It's the best flat bread you'll ever have, without hyperbole: crispy outside, wonderfully doughy inside. For main courses… take your pick. The pizza— traditional Napoli Italian style— is perfect, no matter which one you choose. The other entrees are just as good. Don’t be put off by the use of polenta in place of traditional pasta. I was skeptical at first, but the first bite washed away all misgivings. These people know how to cook! Bene, Cirino’s, Sergio’s, Three Forks… all the best Italian places in the foothills will have to fight for second place.“

“We live over and hour away and decided to go here for Mother’s Day weekend. On our way driving up there they sent me a text message asking if we could change our reservation time because the people before us were running late. No big deal we could walk around and check out the stores. When we got there, we were seated immediately and the people were super friendly. It took us over an hour and a half to get our food. They brought out the kids food about 30 minutes before ours. This Left the kids with nothing to do while we ate. I had to ask someone else to bring us a refill on the drinks because our waitress didn’t come back for about about 30 minutes (this was while we were still waiting for our food) Our waitress was super friendly and apologized. Food was ok. We were going to do the dessert fondue, but after waiting an hour and a half just to get a crêpe we decided to skip it and go somewhere else for dessert. It was a very long drive and borderline disappointing for the service. The atmosphere was cool. The kids had fun despite sitting there forever. We probably will not be returning. I’m not sure if this was just an off day for them because there’s a lot of other good reviews, but for us it was NOT an enjoyable experience.“
