“Had a lunch outting with my team & the pizza lunch special was a hit! 2 slices of pizza with a drink, under $14. I traded my special for a salad & glass of pinot, GREAT place for a beer, glass of wine, or just a good time! I had the chopped Italian salad, delish!“

“This place has great customer service even during a packed World Cup game. This is our neighborhood bar and we’ve rarely if ever had a bad experience.
Disregard the previous review that was freaking out about the chairs. It happened right in front of us and the person was just there to look at their phone, not watch the game, not engage with the other patrons, nothing. It came off as entitled and sad. I’m disappointed to see them leave such an uninformed review“

“Went here during an Oktoberfest celebration and was a great space. Even though it was crowded was still plenty of room and was able to find parking in their lot. Fast service and good selection of beers. Definitely want to go back when it’s a little more casual but was very excited to have the first experience be during Oktoberfest.“
“Had the great fortune of trying this Hazy IPA before meeting the owner Kelsey Grammer and watching him pull beer for a few hours. This beer is outstanding! it doesn't have that hoppy bite and has a refreshing citrus finish. Put simply? it's delicious. Looking forward to more amazing beers coming!!“
“As a regular who has been hitting the Torrance taproom since year one in 2011 Ive Been a huge fan of Smog City and they are still the best spot in Torrance for a solid pour. Their tap list is completely inclusive, making it just as easy for a beginner to find a gateway beer like Smog Czech Lager or Lil Bo Pils and for a seasoned enthusiast to find a heavy-hitting IPA like Amarilla Gorilla. Also, a quick shoutout to their new Mo-Del-Ish lager—it is honestly amazing. I’m crossing my fingers they decide to make it a year-round staple instead of just a seasonal drop! Honestly if you been thinking about getting into the craft game Smog City is you!“

“Love the Red Car find & Bob the owner. We stumbled across this place maybe 8 years ago & any time we are in area we will visit. Love the local vibe & friendliness on top of great beer & food. We do pizza on repeat! Can’t say enough about how friendly Bob & the staff are. Go see yourself!“
“Tap selection can’t be beat. Staff is friendly. Great snack options in addition to other food options that might be available depending on the day and time. The bathrooms are clean. There are games galore. We happened upon them while in the area today, but would absolutely make the 80 mile trek back that way just to visit this brewery again.“

“Been here 4-5 times and overall the outdoor area vibes are what’s worth coming for. Usually busy but not impossible to find a seat on weekends.
My complaint is the same complaint I have for most California breweries in 2026 - stop making a 200th ale that tastes the same and shift focus towards beverages that fit the California vibe and are more inclusive. And no, not another gimmick white claw substitute, but ciders, sours, and fruit beers.
The rotating tap sour we had was top tier but who knows if it will be there next time.
Food wise, we are pretty picky with wings and this place has got excellent wings, the kind that despite not being drenched in buffalo are really flavorful. Pretzel is pretty good too and comes from the local rockenwagner bakery. I wish there was a salt level option but that might be just how they get them.
The menu is definitely white-coded in terms of being more “meal for yourself” than “for the table” and very little green vegetables outside of the salads.“

“We had a few beers there and loved it. Simple hidden gem in the Gundo on a not well traveled side street off grand ave. Not big, (6 big tables up front) but great beer for $8 or so. Also, a nice back area for more private gatherings.

“Smog City’s West Torrance taproom is the kind of place you end up coming back to again and again. It hits that rare sweet spot between a relaxed neighborhood hangout and a beer list that always keeps things interesting.
The menu has real range. Whether you’re into crisp lagers, hoppy IPAs, or rich, full-bodied stouts, there’s always something worth ordering. They rotate in new stuff regularly too, so you’re never stuck drinking the same thing twice.
But the real reason this place is a standout is the crew. The staff actually cares. They know the beer, they’re excited to talk about it, and they make the whole experience feel personal without trying too hard.
It’s the perfect place to catch up with a friend, bring your dog, or just reset after a long day. Smog City West feels like the kind of taproom every neighborhood should have, but most don’t.“

Huge shoutout to Zha for making us feel so welcomed and taken care of. It was our first time, but it’s definitely not our last. The beer selection? Top notch. “Great service and welcoming environment. ample parking and seating both indoors and out. amazing selection of both beers and ciders on tap. my only major issue is the removal of the tip system to a forced service charge (mandatory tip) system of 18%. we ordered a single flight and a pint at the bar ourselves, no table service or any real interaction yet a tip was fourced upon us on the bill.“

“Maxine was our server, and she was so attentive while giving us amazing recommendations from the menu. Everything we ordered was incredible! We started with the Asian wings and the Hamachi Crudo, and both were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we had the skirt steak and the smash burger. And let me just say... the pickle aioli was FIRE! OMG! I can't believe I've never had pickle aioli before, especially since I'm obsessed with pickles. It was SO good! To top it all off, they had a nostalgic McDonald's chocolate dipped ice cream cone for dessert. I had to have it! The vanilla ice cream was softer than the McD's version but overall delicious. They packaged it to go for us so we could walk around the beach while eating it, which was honestly the perfect way to end our dinner. We'll definitely be back!“
