“Weird, but the place was dead----and i mean dead----at peak hour on Saturday night. My wife and I were the only ones in the place. The ambiance/bar was upscale but quaint. The service---by the owner and wait staff---off the charts great. Food was also very good. Had the moussaka and my wife had shrimp. Everything was tasty. Hard to explain why there was no one else there.“
“The food was delicious here. Picking your fish is a unique experience and our waiter was really helpful selecting the perfect catch. So service was great from our waiter but a note, for the price point here spent, empty dishes and cocktail glasses sat too long on the table. It’s also time to retire the idea of the restroom attendant. It’s an antiquated class concept. The gentleman was completely charming, this is not about him, it’s about the concept. All the men I saw going into the bathroom were old enough to dispense their own soap and dry their own hands. I hope you can find another place for the attendant in the ranks of your staff.“
“It is a Great, small, cozy place to get sandwiches and breakfast. Mostly home town folks. Many there are making memories or come back with family to revitalize prior pleasant memories. Food is reasonably priced and can be customized for vegetarian or vegan tastes. Enjoy!“
“AMAZING greek food in Venice! Such a great option for lunch or dinner take-out. Friendly staff and delicious options. Food is ready very quickly and great prices!I enjoyed the falafel platter - the falafel was the perfect amount of moist and flavorful, the hummus and other accoutrements were all so delicious. My partner enjoyed the Lamb Gyro and was impressed with how delicious it was as well! Will absolutely be ordering from Ela again and recommending it to all of our friends in the area.“
“It was an easy store to enter. The staff was very responsive and explained the Greek cuisine for the first time in an easy-to-understand manner, and we had fun and enjoyed the delicious food. As a Japanese person, this was my first time trying all of these dishes, and I was surprised at how delicious they were. I'm sure you'll be satisfied no matter what you order. The seafood dishes were especially great. I heard that they also offer barbecue on the weekends, so I would definitely like to visit.I am grateful to the owner for speaking to me and explaining the dishes thoroughly.“
“I was out walking, killing off a few hours befor my flight to NZ. I came across this lovely restaurant Aliki's Greek Taverna. I stopped off and had a wonderful lunch a few bottles of Greek beer. Food is excellent, service great. Had a few chats with the staff. Thanks guys. “
“Sometimes kebab places are hit and miss. This was a perfect 10. I ordered a chicken bowl and the meat was flawless and fresh in how it tasted. The bowl came with veggies, .hummus, tzaddiki sauce, rice, etc. The level of service was amazing as well. Say hi to Rodney. He'll make you feel like a VIP!“
“Ordered a falafel burrito and the hummus with pita, and cheese quesadilla with chipotle sauce on the side via Uber eats.I wasn't crazy about the pita bread itself and the hummus was just ok, but the falafel burrito was great! I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!“
“This is my favorite place in the south bay, its mandatory after a beach day, I would take a photo but i always ravage the food from beach or gym hunger before I can…. This place is just unbeatable in the category's it serves. I see it as the best in Mediterranean, portion size, flavor, quality and all out healthy for you, I eat here year round but i start eating alot more in the months leading to summer. got to get my summer body ready!!Vegetarian options: a lot of options for vegetarians its labeled with a green leaf if i remember correct. im not even a vegetarian and i always order their maison special salad, im sure you can just get any salad with no chicken as well.“
“Couldn't recommend this place more highly. I'm visiting my brother from out of town and we stumbled upon this place for lunch. The service was top notch and the food was incredible. Nothing glitzy about the restaurant; clearly their emphasis is on quality of food and caring well for their patrons. I got a gyro plate and absolutely loved it. It was a ton of food so if you don't have a big appetite it could be lunch the next day“
“I love Louka and I don't even like Greek food! I have been to Louka a number of times lately for both work and social dinners. Started the night with some fantastic Greek wine and enjoyed the chicken, artichoke salad, and many sides. Despite being crowded, the place has a family like vibe. If you are looking to get out of the Italian / Steak scene, this should be a top spot!“
“This is what it’s all about. Nile, the owner, is there on the daily and has been for 23 years with his staff pumping out good vibes and delicious authentic food. I love to see a locally owned and operated place killing it the way they do.“Best falafel in the country” with spices sourced directly from Jordan.“
“Wow, this place was a complete surprise.Needed something fast and Mediterranean sounded good. Wasn't expecting much.So good!We had the steak wrap, chicken wrap (Cali style) and a chicken plate.Everything was honestly delicious. Fresh. Flavorful. Fast. Cooked perfectly.Even the sauces were great. The hot sauce was very good as addition to the steak wrap and the tahini was awesome. If you're craving Mediterranean with some American fusion influences, you must try Xenia!“
“I have eaten at check on my phone many times if you want a semi Mediterranean food they have a good selection here I do like their salmon Kabob and their chicken kabob. And I do love to believe so they're almost as great and their garlic sauce is greatVegetarian options: They have salads they have vegetables they have falafel they have quite a few items to choose from“
“Always wanted to visit Chicken Maison and this was at the Redondo Beach location. My mom is pretty picky and she really loved the food! Great variety - salads, wraps, soups, rotisserie chicken, beef kabobs , garlic sauce.. great portions and nice service. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegi options - Rice, Coleslaw, Salad, Stuffed Graped Leaves , Pita Bread, Soup, Wraps, etc!Parking: parking in the shopping center.“
“Great across the board! The pita bread came out warm and toasty, the rice was delicious, and the falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My service was also great (girl with pink braids) will come back. They were also super accommodating of making my meal vegan“
“Amazing flavors!1st time eating at this place, and it was amazing. My girlfriend and I had the falafel plate, and I had the beef shawarma wrap. Both were flavorful, fresh, and we'll portioned.Great price for the portion sizes and flavor.I would recommend ??“
“I’m Greek and have been living in the US for over 30 years. This is the only place that tastes like home. Don’t know how they do but amazing food for the price. I tried the Souvlopita and the meat was tender and fresh. The side Greek salad tasted…..well….Greek! I had the amazing Honey/Tahini Greek Yogurt for dessert…dreamy. I’m going back.“
“My husband and I love this hidden gem in Playa Vista. We always get the falafel gyros with GF pitas. They are very good portions, filled with deliciousness, and topped with amazing sauces. We come here on a semi-regular basis and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options“
“We have ordered here multiple times and are always satisfied with how the food is, but the service is top notch. We have spoken with multiple people who are so kind, but Raja was one of the people that helped us as well. Due to my long commute he always helps time my food order to my arrival. It helps me make sure i can have a healthy meal, and a tasty one when i get home. I cant appreciate this place more.Parking: If you cant park here, you dont own a car“
“This gyro was life-changing. I found myself in the vicinity after a disappointing day of trying to patch a tire which led me across West LA to a tire shop down the street. I was hangry and disillusioned with the state of my day, which quickly went to waste quickly in the midst of my complications. This gyro sandwich is the redeeming factor of the past four hours of my existence. When I entered, I was confused by the lack of prices, menus, and... people. There was an older woman who met me with a warm smile and welcomed me in as if I were her own grandson. She quickly took my order, which left me gobsmacked when I saw that this, unbeforeseen-at-that-moment mystery gyro, would only cost a mere 11 dollars, including tax and a 20% tip. The woman quickly got to work and I witnessed her prepare my gyro with care and intention, shaving it carefully off the spit and garnishing it with a superb amount of toppings and delectable sauce. The gyro was fresh, tender, and satisfied my hangriness and impatience with ease. This is the definition of comfort food. The gyro was served on a random cutesy plate which completed the developing hole-in-the-wall restaurant discovery saga for me. I inhaled the sandwich so quickly it must have startled the woman. On the way out I thanked her for my meal, dropped my dishes off, and she told me: "have a wonderful night, until next time ." This spot epitomizes small business America in a way which no Greek chain (looking at you Daphne's and Luna Grill) will ever emulate. Bravo and I will be back soon.“
“Yo! I ain't gonna lie, Nick the Greek is my new go-to on the Westside. Like, a lot of Greek and Mediterranean food around, doesn't possess this. They are to the point without trying to do any extras. Look, my first time trying it was crazy. I originally just had a sweet tooth and wanted to get a Baklava. I came in and seen the food they were serving mixed with the ambience, I knew I was coming back. I order the mixed bowl, with chicken and gyro with the rice and salad, and I think I feel in love. The service was great and to be honest I came back the next day and experienced the same as the day before. If you like Greek and Mediterranean food, Nick the Greek serves it's purpose, you will not be disappointed.“
