“Attention Mod pizza lovers, this is the same concept where they build a pizza in front of you, but the crust is even better because it is structured and yummy. Immediately upon stepping in, we were greeted with multiple hellos and welcome in’s- that always makes an experience better from the start! After they had put my pizza in the oven, I realized I hadn’t added the crushed garlic and I briefly mentioned it to my boyfriend next to me. The employee heard me and immediately offered to add it and insisted on it which was so kind. As for the pizza, it was delicious- I had a vegetarian pizza, the roasted broccoli topping is the best. The bathrooms were impeccable which made for an overall great experience (p.s. to the girls: there is no mirror!). One of the best parts was the design of the place, as well as the atmosphere. The tall ceiling and windows made the space roomy and “fresh”. The chill indie beachy guitar music made us feel like we were relaxing by the beach as we watched the sun set through the large windows. As for the seating, there are many option. My favorite were the booth tables because there was a comfy back rest (pictured) and were clean. Shout out to the 7pm crew for being friendly, hardworking, and overall great workers!“

“A lovely little place in Carmel. Lovely pizzas. The staff were very kind to inquire regarding our dietary restrictions.
Vegetarian options: They have a few salads and veggie options, and a 'make your own' option where one can select toppings of one's choice.
Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten-free cauliflower-based bread
Parking: The parking lot is across the street and free of cost with plenty of spots.“

“The variety of food and drinks, the atmosphere, the staff are all the best and has helped my husband and I to get back to a healthy diet and we have made a commitment to eat a healthy meal at your place once a week. I feel so great after eating a big mixed salad instead of junk food.“

“I have found a legitimate broker who has helped me in so many ways in the aspect of forex & cryptocurrency. At first, I was really skeptical that it won't work but I still kept the faith going until I saw a recommendation about Mrs Craig Vanessa who changed my financial status from grass to grace. Once again I'm really grateful for your help and support towards me and my family in this tough time of the year. “I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“My husband said his Italian Grandmother would have loved the food. The sauces tasted like she had nursed them in her kitchen for the past two days. The lamb shank has immediately gone to 'best ever' on our tracker. Service was great and the evening was wonderful. Worth the effort to get a seat at this very small, but very good spot.“

“The Shrimp Louie salad was one of the BEST I've had in 30 years. It had fresh lettuce from an artisan farm and light dressing. Pickled red onion that has to be homemade with wonderful Italian olives. It wasn't that box baby green salad restaurants throw on plates that gets wilted. My mom had the beet salad and added perfectly cooked steak for an extra $9. Cheesecake was light and strawberry sauce divine. The people are spoiled that live here. It's not a tourist trap. My only complaint: main room and bar entrance needs a better clean to reflect the excellent food.“

“The Clam chowder was amazing. The best I ever had. The rest of the food was bland and just so-so! We thought the roasted garlic would be creamy and spreadable but it wasn't. The sardines were full of bones and the fried shrimp were big, but lacked seasoning. Nice experience, but you just cannot beat the clam chowder! The BEST and the reason for the 4 stars!“

“Cute little cafe with pretty good coffee. The staff were friendly and got orders out quickly. However it was odd that when one of our group asked for a recommendation the staff member responded with, “I don’t know, I do not drink coffee.” The food was pretty good but it was pricy for the quality. Also, it’s a bummer this place doesn’t open until 9 am.“

“The best fresh food around. I really don’t go out to any other restaurant anymore because of what I have here. I know the quality of the food the way I will be treated and the cleanliness of this restaurant. In 4 years I never had a bad meal or something that is wrong. They have always been upfront about their menu and service. Even if they are busy they tell me and I don’t care about waiting I know it will be worth the wait. Thank you Krua Thai Gregg“

“Everything at Smalley’s has a feel of home cooking. The portion sizes are just right. We ordered the prime rib and it was a good size. I would have enjoyed a bit more flavor in the prime rib but the texture and tenderness was on point. I really enjoyed how friendly the staff were. I’m from out of town but come to Salina’s often. I’ll come back to try other main courses for sure! My 10yo daughter enjoyed the 8 oz ribeye.“

“Great Sicilian pizza. Best I had in a long time. Italian sausage, just right amount of chilli. No cheese, no stuffed crust, authentic Italian. We ordered takeaway and even though they were busy, it was ready in 10 mins. Service was excellent, they threw in the ciabatta and virgin olive oil for free as they didn't have garlic bread. First time here, wish we lived here, but sadly just passing through.“
