“We love the pizza at this Smug's location. This place has the nicest staff, the best pizza crust and toppings, and pretty good deals. Even stopping in for a quick slice is the way to go. The Spicy Luau pizza is our favorite with the jalapeño and pineapple toppings. Enough spiciness that hits the spot!
We have eaten at the other locations, but the Mckinleyville location is by far the best.“

“It’s not bad. Just don’t get the pizzas that are already made. Have them make a fresh one for you. I read a couple reviews bagging on a couple of guys with tattoos working the register. I don’t know these guys personally. I do however, know that they’ve been working there since it opened. They actually run that whole restaurant. They do everything. They work their asses off. They’re just hard-working guys who are actually working and trying to make a living. Don’t judge them for that.“

“So glad we tried this local pizza place while visiting Eureka. We accidentally picked up the wrong order but they were super cool about it and let us just keep the other pizzas without having to go back. Although we didn’t get what we ordered, let me tell you, this pizza is SO GOOD. The dough was amazing, quality cheese and toppings, and HUGE 16” pies! I wish I could take this place back home with me.“

“APD has probably the best pizza in the Arcata/Eureka area, but check your pizza. I come and get a pizza here probably twice a month. I always order the same thing, half just cheese, half pepperoni and jalapeño, and more than half the time it comes out half pepperoni, half jalapeño. Then I have to wait for them to remake it. Not sure why that happens so often. But great pizza. Just be sure to check it.“

“Hidden behind the Beachcomber Cafe coffee shop, this cute little “one woman operation” is a real gem! You order at the menu window, Friday and Saturday 5-7pm, the pies are 13 inch, made with quality ingredients. It looks like the pies are seasonal and the menu is ever changing. Definitely worth the stop for great pizza!“

“Paul’s Live From New York Pizza serves some truly incredible pizza. The crust has that classic New York-style bite, the toppings are fresh, and every slice is packed with flavor. It’s definitely the reason to come here.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, making for a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere, however, is just so-so—it’s functional but not somewhere you’d linger for the ambiance.

If you’re looking for outstanding pizza and great service, this place is absolutely worth a visit. The food easily earns 5 stars!“
