“We got the grilled halibut tacos and the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos were great but don't get the grilled because the fried halibut from the fish and chips is outstanding and would send the tacos over the top being fried! Get the fried fish! And the fries are very good, taste like an old school McDonald's fry! The service was quick, 5 orders to go took maybe 10-15 minutes? Were not local but we will stop here again on our way through! Only minor complaint is the fish tacos for the price should get fries with it. The fish and chips is a good portion and super good crunch! Tacos just a little to small portion for the price! Excellent food tho highly recommend! They have specials too (see pictures). And the tar tar sauce is sssssooooooo gooooodddd!“

“I don't understand why this place always seems so empty when I go there. The pizzas are pretty darn good, and the salad bar has everything. The guy at the counter has always been very nice to me. The only reason I didn't do a five-star is the salad bar stuff gets left out too long sometimes, but that would be fixed if more people would discover it.
... oh yeah, there are 3 pizza places in one short stretch. That makes it hard for everybody.

“Cuz the service is outstanding however there product my boyfriend and I both got two slices of pizza each and it was 1621 a little sip but I got to stand with today's economy I think it's a little pricey but customer service is not that bad it's good. I'd have this over Little Caesars any day. And even probably Domino's you better for sure but pricier for sure.

“Best oysters! Normally we're not big fans of Pacific oysters but this place serves the best we've ever had. My wife and I had 2 dozens on half shell and 1/2 dozen broiled (not overcooked) in butter sauce that was very tasty.

There are a variety of sauces and we tried 4 different ones. All good!

Matthew was very friendly and welcoming. He was very helpful with our choices and wine selection. (Also he harvests oysters himself so they are that fresh!)

I asked around the harbor which taco truck put out the best tacos, and got a dozen different answers, I got a bunch of what if's, and these and thems, but Alma's Mexican Food Truck kept popping up...So, off we went! I had my pal Peckerwood Pete with me, and he's in a lot of pain from a fight he had with an angry beaver, so he said ...we'll eat in the truck..okay.

“My now husband and I had the absolute honor and privilege to host our rehearsal dinner / welcome party for our wedding at Alchemy a few weeks ago. Steve and Amy went above and beyond with every aspect for our event. Their communication, care, and commitment to making this an evening to remember was so appreciated. The process was so easy with the two of them and the night turned out spectacular! A beautiful venue, beautiful people, and amazing drinks.. That pineapple Boldt Whip tho! 😋

We were also blessed by the old Kyoto sushi squad, their food was to die for! They made the best vegetarian and non-veg sushi I’ve ever eaten and each piece was curated so beautifully. I haven’t stopped craving the delicious tuna poke and marinated bell pepper nigiri.

Our guests are still raving about the party. We cannot say enough to properly express what a gem Alchemy is and cannot recommend them more for your private events. Thank you Amy, Steve, and Kyoto team! ♥️“

“Delicious, differnt burritos. A ton of options to customize your burrito to your hearts content. These arn't retular mexican burritos, they are uniquely their own thing.

They use quality ingrediants, and they take care in preparing the food. This does come at a cost though, to your wallet and to your time. Orders here can take a while to complete, I would recommend calling in advance. The prices are also quite high for what you would expect to pay for a burrito.

All in all this gets a strong recommend from me, if you dont mind spending a bit extra for the quality.“

“Spacious area with outdoor seating, excellent selection of inebriants + nonalcoholic options, adjacent food truck with insanely yummy food + outdoor seating (but not pet-friendly 🥲).

On a Saturday afternoon in November the place was lightly filled, and bar service immediate. Truck food was fresh-prepared so took a bit, but you get a buzzer so no need to stand around twiddling thumbs.

I had the vegan Yogi Bowl which was outstanding (and spendy at $18, but it was enough for two meals) and thoroughly enjoyed the array of ingredients & flavors. 🥗🍚🍲

This is the only bar I’ve found so far that carries both a Belgian Tripel (in the correct glass) + cider + kombucha + root beer on tap. 👏🏼👏🏼

The only downside is that the view from the patio is basically a wire fence & parking lot (or the nearby thoroughfare), but if you angle your seating you can see forested mountains⛰️ in the background. 😉“

“Wonderful atmosphere, warm and inviting locale and staff. Food came out nice and quickly, presentation looking delightful and tasting even better. They had utensils on the side of the table neatly sorted and all ready to go, too, so no fussing was required to get them.

“What a great sushi place! So glad we stumbled upon this out of the way super tasty off the beaten path sushi place in Arcata. It’s a mom n pop shop atmosphere but the food is fine dining style. We both got a roll with salmon in it, can’t remember the names but they were both delicious. The Miso soup, tempura veggies and edamame are all bomb too. Made a mistake of ordering three sakis, they came in a nice size bottle with more than enough for the three of us. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Got the seaweed salad this trip and it was great, nice roasted sesame flavor. This is now our favorite place to get sushi in Arcata“

“You can’t go wrong here. The place is lovely, casual dress but with white tablecloths. Service was spot on and a nice wine selection. I enjoyed the special of Halibut with artichoke risotto. Fish was cooked perfectly and the risotto was creamy. The mussels, shrimp and scallops in pasta with a red curry sauce was awesome. Highly recommended.“

“So glad we tried this local pizza place while visiting Eureka. We accidentally picked up the wrong order but they were super cool about it and let us just keep the other pizzas without having to go back. Although we didn’t get what we ordered, let me tell you, this pizza is SO GOOD. The dough was amazing, quality cheese and toppings, and HUGE 16” pies! I wish I could take this place back home with me.“
