I have eaten here off and on since it opened. Yesterday was my birthday and I was craving some good ramen. We ordered to go a mild tonkatsu Ramen extra egg and it was quickly ready. We personally made a side stop and drove home. Got home and started eating it and it was more a medium-hot spicy level this time. Food was great! Large portions and so easy to order - there is a kiosk right at your table. For the price point - the portion sizes were great.. Just gets pricey when there are just 2 of you and you want to try multiple things. Service is a bit slow as well but it was packed when we went in so it may be better when there's less people. 88 Bao Bao is a restaurant in the area that has built a following for its authentic cuisine and generous portions. Guests order easily at a kiosk right at the table. The Tonkotsu and Dumpling Ramen stand out for their amazing broth and fresh veggies, and the noodles taste great. The Lumpia is extremely hot and delicious out the fryer, better than some homemade versions, with chunks of juicy tender ground pork with veggies and scallions, and it is a must try appetizer. The soup dumplings and pork buns are on the sweeter side, but so good. The deep-fried wontons are enjoyable too. The soft boiled eggs were slightly frozen in the middle and the pork belly did not seem hot, suggesting they are pre-prepared, and a cold egg in the ramen is a letdown. Service is a bit slow and it gets pricey when two people want to try multiple things. It is small, so when it gets busy it is a bit loud, like a bar volume, and not ideal for date night. One visit involved a large metal screw found in a to-go order of chicken feet, along with oily cups, which is disappointing and dangerous. Still, the staff were so polite, the broth is amazing, and the business is very honest, without asking for tips.
