H.L Peninsula Restaurant

I missed dim sum so much during lockdown and no indoor dining. A friend showed me this place once everything started opening back up, and was not disappointed at all. My favorite thing on the menu so far is the fried egg yolk lava ball. It's such a pleasant warm surprise and pretty sweet. The perfect end to our dim sum meal. Above average dim sum with probably best "authentic" Hong Kong style atmosphere for this type of restaurant, felt like we were in Asia. Fast and hot, the food came out. Service accurate and friendly above the stereotype of bad Chinese restaurant service. Long list of specials of the day, in Chinese but I'm sure if you can't read it, you can ask. My family and I went to another HL Peninsula Restaurant location along Airport Blvd (closer to the SFO airport), but we didn't realize they had this second location. Both have the same dinner menu, though this location in particular also has another specials menu with dishes we weren't able to order at the aforementioned location.
