“We are exploring new places for simple date nights near our new home - found the terrific Elena's last week. Food was really well prepared (even leftovers were delicious, repurchased in soft tortillas). The beef kabobs, filet mignon, were amazing - and fries were a nice alternative to rice. Lamb kabobs were also good, with nice rice. The appetizer/spreads combo was great - excellent tabbouleh and baba ghanouj. I would have loved a little more "Greek", like egg lemon soup, etc but oh, well. Service was attentive, atmosphere a little bright for us, but ok. Pricing was very fair - we did not drink but our tab was well under $75, which is a gift these days! Easy to see how they have flourished for 50 years ... we'll be back!“

“Friendly service. No frills, good food. Fast.
The kefta was dry but the beef kebab is one of the best I've ever had. Definitely will be back for more.
They give you 2 skewers standard with your order which is a great value. Get another one for 7 bucks.“

The location is great, easily accessible, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family outing. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat.“

“Through a friend's suggestion, tried out Wrap It Up Shawerma for the first time today. A small, sit-down cafe style with an open kitchen so you see the food being preparrd for you.
I ordered a #3 Beef Gyro Shawerma and it was amazing. I got the Small 8" and that was plenty big. Good serving of meat, lightweight wrap, and very tasty veggies.
French Fries were also very good.
There's plenty of free public parking nearby. The structure around the corner has 90 mins free parking.

“This place is as authentic as it comes. Everyone was speaking Spanish and the food is very tasty.
My waitress spoke perfect English which was a relief and she recommended the green salsa which added a nice zing to my burrito.
I personally don't like chopped beef and should have ordered the chicken burrito, but my chicken taco more than made up for it as it was stuffed with very flavorful chicken. Filled me up so much I didn't finish my burrito and had some leftovers for dinner later that night.
It's easy to park near and the prices are reasonable too. Not too sure about the neighborhood, but I came during the day so felt fine.“

“Hey...everybody I would like to encourage you to support our local business during this pandemic times.I DO highly recommend DONA MARTA'S KITCHEN RESTAURANT because she has that special SAZON which reminds me to my grandmother. There you can eat a variety of ANTOJITOS MEXICANOS....of course mine is ENCHILADAS ROJAS DE SALSA GUAJILLO....“

“Easy location from hotels. Nice folks and there was no line for ordering breakfast. There is a park across the street to eat your food or inside is fine to eat. Street noise can be loud here but it's not a worry since this is downtown LA.“

“Certainly not the only one, but definitely a wonderful choice to get Mediterranean food for lunch or a quick dinner. The place is located in a a cute little building (missed it on the first drive-by) with a mini garden to sit outside at one of four tables. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, cleanly presented. Hit on the menu - I was told - is the Chipotle Chicke. I went for the lamb gyros and the spinach dip - and loved both: Everything was tasty - and good to come back another time - so four stars :-) Now, thank you for reading my comment. Now, if you are curious enough about my "rating scheme", here's "the moment of truth. I am a music photographer who travels the world with the worlds greatest musical talents (Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Rolling Stones or Rammstein, to name a few) for almost 40 years. When being asked "where do you live" I tended to ask "in hotels". At my peak, I "shot" 250 shows a year. Will say: been there, saw and tasted it, and a lot, as I may say and much to the dismay of my doctor who is in my back to lose a few pounds. Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by. While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked how people use their "power of word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all time favourite restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers boxed to take home? As a dog owner, I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "you give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea... I hope you agree. So If I had the say on this portal, I would offer just to see ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this simply does not compare to "The Ritz". At first, I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. In my rating scheme, three or more stars are awarded if they actually exceeded my expectation. Four, if I am sure I will come back. To achieve five stars, I must be willing to take a detour of thirty minutes or more to go again. Again, thank you for reading this.“

“Looking for a quick lunch my buddy and I dropped by this spot on the way home from the gym.
I got the soup of the day and was recomended a gyro by Nick himself. My buddy got burger and fries. Everything was seasoned excellently and with attention to detail.
The soup hit the spot and the gyro filled me up and when we were just about finished with our meal Nick's wife brought us some lemon cake she baked herself it was awesome.
If you're in Montebello looking for some Greek food I highly suggest checking them out.
Parking: They have a lot with about 10 parking spots and the streets near by have free parking too.“
