“Great to see some Indian flavors in Mountain House. I was surprised by the appam, idiyappam and dosa varieties here. These dishes were really good and yummy. I had tried some appetizers, but was at par for me (could be because of overwhelming options I had in other states). The restaurant was calm and great with some music running in the back. The service was really great.“

“I’m here in Tracy working out of town for construction work and am staying close to this place. I did a quick google search and was craving a mom & pop pizza spot. I found this and noticed that I was the only one inside when I walked in. I was greeted by a friendly employee and a bright easy to read menu with a variety of different pizza and appetizer options. I’ve never been to a pizza restaurant with an Indian infused vibe and cuisine, and it was absolutely delicious. I was craving a Hawaiian pizza, and ordered that plus the Indian style garlic bread. The toppings were fresh, everything was piping hot, and I was completely satisfied. The atmosphere inside was calm and pleasant. If you’re local here you have to try this spot, the service was outstanding too. Show them some love.“

“Lovely afternoon spent here on a Saturday. The tasting room employees are SUPER friendly. We tried the white wine flight and really enjoyed the Viognier and Chardonnay. The flight comes with a delicious cookie and they gave us complimentary bread w/olive oil and balsamic. The lawn has lots ofpicnic benches and the view is stunning. Can’t wait to come back to hear live music and have a bottle!“

“What a fantastic place to dine. Restaurant was very clean. Atmosphere was inviting. My server Yessenia was so friendly and attentive definitely a pro at what she is doing. I was greeted the manager Yash and she asked me how my food was and how my server was treating me. This is the kind of management restaurants these days need. I felt very comfortable here. Food was delicious and I received it very fast. Overall experience here was excellent. I will definitely be coming back as I see this restaurant has made a full circle improvement since I was last here years ago.“

“OK...a casual Chinese restaurant in downtown SF is going to have a lot of competition. This one can go toe to toe with all of them. Food was fresh, hot and flavorful with great service. The atmosphere is just what we would expect in a downtown diner, clean, comfortable and very Chinese.

Even if you are not staying or working nearby, the Powell/Market transit stops are about 300 yards away. Close!

“I’m from Sacramento, come through Tracy often. Found this star bread place closest one to San Ramon.
Let me say this, their star bread is amazing!!! But!! Every time I have came here the service is really slow, so if your in a hurry be prepared to wait a bit before you get help or your bread that’s why I gave a 4 stars.“

“I’m hardly ever in Downtown, but when I am—I like to visit this place when I don’t feel like cooking dinner.

Their Rib-eye steak was amazing, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We also got the Philly Cheese Steak BURGER. You heard that right—one of the best creations made. Delicious. That’s all you need to know.

Quick service, didn’t have to wait too long either. Will be back as always!“

“The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable of their wines. Winery has good reds and a surprisingly solid selection of whites. Wines are made off the grapes grown onsite. Highly recommend stopping by for a tasting. Good wine club and a nice spot for hosting. Winery also has many events from music to dancing to comedy shows.“

“I ordered an Afghani Burger and a chicken platter with a Diet Coke. The food quality was good, especially the Afghani Burger — it tasted great and I really enjoyed it.

However, I was disappointed with the chicken platter portion. For $17, the quantity was very small and not acceptable for the price. The taste was fine, but the portion size needs serious improvement.

The food was so fresh and flavorful and the service was more than satisfactory. The gentlemen taking our order prepared us a small plate of samples to try as it was our first time and we loved it. “When you walk in you feel the warm welcoming friendly energy of the Island people. Everyone was so kind and polite and all seemed to enjoy their job and working together. It’s the only place I have found here in Tracy that sells Malasadas (delicious doughnuts). Their chicken teriyaki bowls are another go to favorite of my family. Definitely recommend.“

“Do not let the construction site fool you, they are very open! Took my mom there for lunch midweek and was treated to excellent customer service by the owner. We got the Chefs Family meal for 2. Started with soup, broth was excellent. Cream cheese ragoons and shrimp tempura next, both excellent. Pork chow mein, pork fried rice and sweet and sour pork to round out our meal. All of it was fresh and hot and the pork at such great flavor.
We have been eating at Happy Dragon since the early 90s and it has changed ownership four times. The quality and freshness is still there. Large portions and fresh food. We both went home with had to go box for lunch the next day.

“Detailed Review:

We were driving by Tracy and stopped for some food. My boyfriend and I were craving Thai food, so I looked up a couple places and the reviews brought me here, which I am grateful for.

We walked into a delicious smell of jasmine rice and various spices. We were greeted by the staff immediately and seated. We ordered their Pork Pad Thai (medium level spicy) and their Orange chicken, which came with a small side of white rice. Our food came out quickly; however, we were the only table at the restaurant.

The portions were decent for the price, and let me tell you about the incredible flavors and textures! The pad Thai noodles were delicious. They had great flavor, just the right amount of sweetness with a tarty balance. The noodles were cooked just right. They were whole, stretchy and did not break when serving.

Additionally, the orange chicken was also very tasty. It had a crispy exterior, tarty with a slight sweetness. The sauce was not heavy or too thick, which I enjoyed very much. The pieces of chicken were also made to be uniform in size, which I appreciate very much as it maintained the quality of every piece of chicken. Sometimes when there are large pieces, the quality can vary from piece to piece. However, I could tell they took the time make sure all the pieces were the same size as some pieces were clearly cut smaller. I think this was a great choice by the restaurant.

Moreover, the rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked. It complimented the orange chicken very well.

Lastly, I got to try their Thai Iced tea, which was really good. I could tell the tea was an actual brew and not an artificial powder mix. It has good intensity of flavor, sweetness and creaminess that’s just right. It’s a delicious drink I recommend trying.

Quick tip: Ask for the chili oil if you like to add an extra crunch and extra spice to your meal. Definitely recommend.

Staff was kind, knowledgeable about ingredients and helpful with recommending dishes.

The restaurant and their restroom were clean and well kept, which is important to me.

Parking was easy to find and conveniently right in front of the establishment.“

“I am a bit disabled and the hostess opens the door for me, then assists me to a table. After enjoying excellent service and food, the hostess again assists me as I am leaving.“

“This was my first time trying pho and I played it safe and got the raw beef pho; needless to say, it was delicious! I ordered to go and it was done in about 10-15 minutes! The portion size was very nice as I shared it between my daughter and I and we still didn’t finish it all. I appreciated that they individually packaged the veggies, noodle, and meat. They also included the hoisen sauce, sriracha sauce and chili oil. The restaurant environment while waiting was outgoing, friendly and clean. We stopped by around 11:35-11:45 and there wasn’t a big rush but the place was full.“

“The food tastes home made unlike most Chinese restaurants where they taste like they use frozen chicken nuggets. They have huge portions and a friendly staff. They included all the sauces and even things like tea in the bag which was a nice touch. It's definitely worth a try.“

Everything was really fresh and tasty. Really good. Hubs ordered the Washington roll and he enjoyed it. Anything with the brown sauce and spicy mayo is delish in my opinion! We also got a rainbow roll. Everything tasted delicious. Only $75 with tax for all that. Would easily come back again if we happened by the area.“

“Had a birthday celebration for our 30 year old Son. Our experience was excellent… the food and service. It’s a family owned business where the cook has 23 years experience which resulted in him buying the place. Only a few months into the ownership, he is doing well with consistent food and repeat customers. No worries that you are going to get a different cook every time. He is the only cook who knows what he’s doing. He even has a signature garlic butter. In fact, he makes everything. Not some chain restaurant that uses mass production food from who knows where. Anyway, give it a shot. It could become your fav.“
