At the recommendation of some friends, we just tried a flight of wines during a weekday visit to Murphy's. Come to find out, we just missed wine festival crowds by one day (thank goodness). The staff there we're extremely friendly and we shared some info & recommendations with them from our own wine region (in the Paso Robles area). I stopped here with my family while we were visiting California and we had such a great time! Locke vineyards is a charming, relaxing winery with indoor and outdoor seating and a cute gift shop. In addition to wine they have dried lavender, farm signs, and a ton of amazing vintage looking items. They also have a TON of lavender drying in hanging bunches which gives the whole area an even more relaxed, natural smell.
