Very disappointed! It was as if the restaurant did not expect people to be coming at 6 PM on a Friday night. The food took well over an hour to come out. The steak was extremely tough. The vegetables that came on the side of the halibut were nearly uncooked with no flavor. We were too tired to complain and really wanted to get out of there. The restaurant was extremely loud and had very poor acoustics. We couldn't hear ourselves talk over the party next to us.

Haven't been to Compline since before Covid and it is still serving great food and wine. Had the fried chicken and my friend had the burger. Fried chicken was dark brown so looked burnt but it wasn't. The boneless pieces were so tasty and the gravy and mustard greens were excellent. My friend loved the burger and commented on how brioche like the bun was. Had an excellent red Burgundy (Rollin) and was priced well at $75. Highly recommend.

I have visited this establishment twice, each time specifically to enjoy their duck fat fries. Their exceptional crispness and superior quality are unmatched by any other fries I've tasted. During my most recent visit, I also sampled the lamb meatballs, which I paired with a 2020 La Cabotte Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This wine displayed a lovely deep ruby-purple hue with pronounced notes of fresh plum, cherry, orange zest, and herbal spice. The pairing was quite successful....
