“10/10. Forgot it was fire roasted chicken so I almost burned my tongue ? it was so worth going here for dinner. ? spent just under $25. Plenty of leftovers for breakfast if you save your leftovers like I do. ? does not disappoint. The wait is not a problem but I can see why some with no time may not like that but this is not fast food. So be prepared to also sit tight (about average - 10min or so while I found street parking and walked back). I promise you it’s worth it. :) This was so worth the quality of the food it just melts in your mouth. I could not finish all of it. Had to take it home. ? ? the atmosphere is so beautiful… plenty of outdoor seating. Indoor is for order placing and order pickup as well as their fire roasted oven and kitchen. It’s so good. ?Parking: Parking ?️ on the street. Plan to walk.“
“Had a great time at Goodbar. The bar staff was awesome, everything was reasonably priced. They had a food truck that was really good and that made it fun. We happen to be they're on a night they had music. The band was all original music and it was great.“
“You cannot find a better Philly Cheese steak in San Diego and if you think so message me and I'll pay for it unless it's not. Guarantee.Mush with Hot Peppers and if you're in the mood Cheese Wiz. Boom done son. They have a lot of other subs and apparently are doing breakfast now? Anyway go for the Philly stay for the beers.“
“Came here for lunch today and was blown away how good my meal tasted. Ordered a loaded Philly without bread and it was the perfect lunch and portion. You can really taste the quality and the owner was extremely nice. Bathrooms also very clean and it’s a great location in GasLamp. Will def come back. 5 stars ♥️Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“Always friendly people with great food. They even had a water bowl for my guide dog.The sandwich is one of the best I have ever had.If I had something I would change it would be they need a soda tap instead of the cans of soda.I like to drink more than 12 oz.“
“This is my first time eating at MJ's. Although we had the food delivered it still was warm and good. I had a regular MJ's cheese steak sandwich and it was very flavored. The bread was a bit hard, however the meat was tender and easy to chew compared to other cheesesteaks I have had. I also had Cajun fries which were seasoned quite well. Evenly spread, and not salty at all. And had no need to put any sauce or extra seasoning on it or anything. Overall I say give them a try! They are definitely worth the money.“
“Gaglione's cheesesteaks are (obviously) the best in San Diego. My mom's from Philly and I've been many times, and I still think Gaglione's makes the best cheesesteak I've ever had. It's a fairly small shop but the vibes are great, you're greeted with smiles and hellos when you walk in and the staff is just awesome. I wish I could remember the name of the gal who took our order (Feb 29 around 1pm?), she was just so sweet and helpful. She even came outside to bring us our food because we're not the brightest apparently and didn't realize we could not hear the orders being yelled out from outside. One of my favorite places to eat in San Diego and I will always recommend it!!“
“I cheated on my diet for this sandwich & have no regrets. This is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I'm super picky about tuna melts bc you never know if it's going to smell fishy but this one is perfect! No weird smell. The staff was also super friendly! I'll definitely be back! Also, that cookie came with it and was delicious!“
“Awesome little, Deli, right next to the marina. I came for breakfast, and it was honestly the best value meal I had the entire trip to San Diego. For the pice you got a healthy portion of food that was absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and accommodating.“
“Everything from service to quality and quantity of food was outstanding! Was excellent from the moment I walked in! Ordered the Philly Cheesesteak combo with 10" cheesesteak, fries and salad...was stuffed when I was done! All was very good! Will be back for sure! Highly recommend!“
“I found this place on a late-night eats whim on Postmates one night. When I tell you that this place is absolute FIRE, I mean it! The best Philly I have had in San Diego. The hoagie roll is lightly toasty and fluffy. The bell peppers, grilled onions, and mushrooms were well seasoned. Now the Philly Cheesesteak stands on its own, but get a side of the queso sauce to really set it off! Try it, you won't be disappointed. And if you are it is because you do not have a refined palate and that's a you problem“
“I have been coming to Philly Steak Subs since the first door was opened. And the food was good then now its fantastic. It was a closet in the beginning now its 5 times bigger extremely comfortable friendly atmosphere, safe Environment. If you never been there please go.Dietary restrictions: Each person should know what they can and cannot eat so just tell them what you want and how you want it.“
“The other day we went and tried this place in Santee/Lakeside. I had seen a show on the Food Channel, and that talked about deep-dish pizza. Before sitting down, we ordered our pizza. We got in around 5 pm on a Wednesday. Ordered a large 3" thick deep dish, with Pepperoni, Sausage, and Mushroom, before taking a seat. Looks like a new place. They said it would be a little longer because it was a deep dish. We were the only ones there, but several people walked in to pick up their pizza. We had a salad, then the pizza arrived. OMG, that sauce was different than anything we've ever tasted. Usually, Italian sauce has a sour finish. But this one was like thick sweet tomatos, the best sauce we ever had. We each had two slices. Took the 4 pieces home for the next day's lunch. The box was heavy. They also have thin and medium crusts. This is now a favorite of ours. I've only tried one other deep dish place in Pacific Beach years ago. I don't remember theirs being this good. A must try, with friends. I wish I had remembered to take pictures.“
“Had a bacon 3 cheese. Tasty but dry. Felt like I needed to glop a little mayo on it.One glaring thing when I was there, they call themselves Charlie's Philly Steak on the overhead sign, the register screen and many other places... yet the google as Charlie's Cheesesteak. WeirdBut I'd probably buy it again. Four starz!“
