The food was delicious! I had chips and guacamole, then carne asada street tacos with a side of beans. They have gluten-free items clearly marked on the menu. Food was horrible, service was a very unpleasant experience. The waitress felt that since we had a party of 11 and the gratuity was already included in our bill she can stop by twice to check on us, we had to ask the employees cleaning the tables for for refills and condiments.

Went in early afternoon for a drink only a few in so was quiet, didn't eat so can't comment but the service was excellent, the lady was friendly and welcoming and was informative of the area when we asked a couple of questions. Drinks a decent price and a really decent bar.

Love it when a restaurant makes their margaritas fresh because if you order a non alcoholic one, it’s not just a too-sweet mix. They have great flavored ones and while my companions thought their alcoholic drinks were weak, especially for the $15-$18 price, my nonalcoholic one for $7 was fantastic. Chips are fresh and salsa spicy. 4 of us got the 2 combo meals which came with rice and beans. The enchiladas were great and everyone thought the tamales, tacos etc were wonderful and the meat very good. Our other companion got the Chingalinas after looking it up and asking waitress. He said it was good but didn’t eat it all so I can’t vouch. At an average of $18 a plate, you can’t go wrong. We sat outside which was lovely. We were celebrating my daughter’s 30th bday and the waitress brought over a lovely crunchy ice cream dessert for her with a candle for singing which was a lovely touch. Busy night but our waitress was on top of it and service great.

I ate here forty years ago and was excited to come back. The food is just as good as it was then. This part of California is kept clean and safe in comparison to what parts of California has become with crime and homeless issues. I highly recommend this place for great Mexican food and a nice atmosphere. ?
