“I didn’t expect an Afghan restaurant to feel this personal. From the moment I walked in, there was a quiet warmth—not loud, not forced, just genuine. The dishes carried depth without trying to impress. Every bite felt layered with care, especially the rice and slow-cooked meats. It’s not just food, it’s a calm experience that stays with you after you leave.“

“The food tasted great and customer service was great. What i did not appreciate was the fact that we went to the buffet and my teenage son wanted to treat us well not knowing they had a table with dessert we asked if for everyone with buffet they said yes. When my son went to pay what was supposed to be $60 for 3 buffets was $85 because each item was individually priced on the dessert. Also they ran out of the meat that his friend enjoyed eating so he didn't get the full enjoyment of the buffet. They stated they would make sure not to run out we could come back tomorrow but at $85 that is way too much.“

Although the lamb Kebob was cooked slightly less than we preferred, the staff was exceptionally helpful and addressed our request immediately. “The lamb in qabili palaw was tender and could be cut with fork. The curry was spicy but not over the top. All dishes well seasoned and attractively arranged even though takeout. The long grain rice and bread were also very tasty.“

“Afghan Ice Cream & Grill is one of the only places I found everything fairly good. Here I had the traditional and athletic Qabli Palaw in which lamb and rice are simmered together which gives it the true flavor of Qabli, which is hard to find. The price was fair and a service with humility. Even though it’s a small place but the evening summer breeze on the patio made everything more pleasant.“
