The owner is a friend of mine and having been to Afghanistan I can assure that the food is authentic, delicious and the atmosphere very hospitable.
The food was great! Guys, the chicken shawarma is bussin'. I took 4 chicken and 1 lamb; they all go for the same low price, even cheaper than on the menu. It was $8.99 and straight delicious. Nothing unnecessary in it, only some salad and great spiced, non-dry chicken. The samosa for $0.99 is a must-try. It's expectedly on the smaller side but crunchy and tastes good.
