“We really enjoyed ourselves at Rudy's Hideaway. Food was delicious! We shared an appetizer, fried calamari. For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. “GREAT fish and chips, don't judge a book by its cover. A handful of 4-person booths inside to enjoy your meal at; tables are clean and nowhere near as sticky as other fry shops I've been to.

Very reasonably priced and the pieces of fish are HUGE (like 9 inches of cod each). Family sized dinners are a good value--we got the 6-piece Rowboat--and they have Mug root beer in the fountain! (Pepsi products) The hushpuppies had good flavor and were not soggy or chewy. Fried oysters were huge and also good.

The house white sauce is more garlic cream than tartar sauce. There was a very tomato-forward slightly chunky spicy mock cocktail sauce that was also pleasant. Coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with some light creamy dressing, which was enough to offset the fried everything.

Overall one of my favorite stops on this side of town!“

“First time eating here last night. We ordered Gumbo, Garlic noodles, Wings, Tiffany wings, Shrimp basket, Sweet Potato fries and it all turned out to be very delicious. The decor was fun and vibrant. The music was the right touch. This place has been here for 11 years, it’s located right after the corner gas station Mack Rd and Stockton Blvd. We’ve overlooked it for some time and we were pleased with our visit. “5 stars! For quality of food. Every dish we had tasted delicious. Brought us back to OC places, and better than some of the central Viet dishes in SoCal. From the house made sauce fried chicken wings (kids enjoyed), to the ca canh chua, mango salad was refreshingly good, and the morning glory was very nice. Didn't try the pho, but kids and bro enjoyed. Bro said the banh xeo was a little hard. It just took a REALLY long time for them to prepare the food--one cook that day maybe? But food was very high quality. Friendly service. Can get a little loud inside, looks like it hosts big groups and events, they was a karaoke group in the back.“

“Wow wow wow!!! The fish and chips here are delicious!!! My husband and I ran in right before closing and the fish was so fresh and the batter was so crispy! My husband grew up in Washington eating fish and chips at Iver’s and he said this is the closest he’s ever had to their fish and chips. The owners are so sweet and hooked up us with a couple extra pieces since they were closing in a few minutes. Tugboat Fish and Chips is becoming a staple in our household!

“Went there for a dinner for the first time . Wow , balut was so good my husband love them too. We had a hot pot as well and it's really soup warming. A dozen of yummy oysters and the bomb is the stir fry clams in garlic flavor we ordered it again because it was real fresh and good . I don't regret paying a lot of this is the food serve , very delicious I was just worried because I eat a lot 🤣🤣. Costumer service was exceptional . “Food truck with good food. I had fish ceviche and a carne asada Taco. Ceviche came in a cup with a couple of tostadas lime wedges and ketchup packets and crackers. Taco was a street taco and grilled onions and radishes on the side. I will be going back.“

“We are definitely a loyal customers here. We at least check in here once a month. We love all kinds of soup bases for your mix of cooking your own veggies, seafood, meats, seasoning etc. Love the conveyors that goes around while you are seating and just picking up your choices out of the conveyors. Weekdays are the best to go because weekends gets crowded with wait time.“

“This place gets 5 stars for service alone. The folks here are very friendly and get your food out hot and fast. The fella at the counter was very patient with me when explaining the menu and another worker checked in on me frequently after my tray was served. They have great options to mix and match fried fish and chicken, with a long list of sides to add on as desired.

Ray’s offers a big selection of desserts consisting of a variety of sliced cakes and pies. They also offer homemade sauces, homemade drinks like lemonades and milkshakes, and large party platters. Bottled/canned drinks and ice cream are available in separate fridges/freezer.

I ordered the two piece fried snapper with a side of collard greens and a side of red beans and rice. Food came out quickly and very hot. The fish and fries were crispy and salty and paired well with the tarter sauce. Both sides came with generous amounts of turkey necks; they didn’t skimp on the meat.“

“Stopped by Tugboat Fish & Chips and everything was sooo good. The fish was fresh, crispy, and perfectly cooked. The fries were top tier, the coleslaw was super fresh and crunchy, and the prawns were honestly to die for. You can tell the food is made fresh and with care. Definitely coming back!“

“We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“
