“The owner(I’m assuming) was incredibly nice and friendly, nicely wrapped our beer and food to go, and OH MY GOODNESS, the food is to DIE for! The batter they use is crunchy, light and not oily at all. Fish and prawns are fresh and perfectly cooked, hush puppies are a must, and the lumpia is most definitely homemade and made with love. I can’t wait to go again and get the calamari and catfish next!“

“This is my new favorite Asian restaurant it’s far from home but so worth the drive. From the decor to service to the amazing food…. I can’t say how refreshing it is to be able to eat clean healthy Asian cuisine. The owner is Bill and I’ve met him twice now. He’s passionate about his restaurants, yes I said restaurants plural. He let me know there’s one in Eldorado Hills and Folsom as well as this one I’m reviewing in Citrus Heights on Sunrise. It’s beautiful, clean, and the food is so very delicious! Ordered pork Xiao long bao and pork and chives steamed dumplings. The wrappers are very good, handmade and fresh.
The meat stuffings were not that great to be honest. Both tasted sweet and can't really taste the meat, it's like very fine ground pork. Hoping they will adjust the stuffings.“

“We really enjoyed ourselves at Rudy's Hideaway. Food was delicious! We shared an appetizer, fried calamari. For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. “First time, will return. The food was very good and plentiful, the prices reasonable for nowadays. The place is cute and clean.

We were a bit hesitant at first as no one else was in the restaurant, it was an odd hour though 2:30. Four other tables filled up before we left.

It was wonderful to get full size egg rolls! So many places are giving you tiny ones or even just halves. Didn't get a pic, but they are full size and very good.

We each had a lunch special, generous helpings and everything was very flavorful. We asked for the egg flower soup instead of the hot and sour due to personal preference and it was really good - even had a bit of chicken in it which you don't usually see. I had the general chicken, chicken chow mein and pork fried rice plate. He had the sweet and sour pork chicken chow mein and pork fried rice plate. Thoroughly enjoyed and we both have leftovers (unusual for him so that tells you the serving was a lot).

Only negative was that they charge $5 for a pot of hot tea. We passed. :(

“This place is a hidden gem! I’ve never ordered a wrong thing here —all of the ingredients are fresh and prepared with care. When you order a chef’s choice selection, they will sometimes include real wasabi (along with the regular paste wasabi that is more common at restaurants). The look of the restaurant, as well as the visual presentation of the dishes, are very pretty and photo-worthy. The A5 Miyazaki Wagyu is phenomenal. The paper hotpot was a unique and imaginative experience —no single bite was ever the same, but constantly evolving. Sometimes we want to just have a simple meal to feed ourself, and other times we are lucky enough to have a delicious meal and take part in a creative process. If you enjoy food and art then give this place a try.“

Ordered a wet (green) jumbo burrito with pollo asada. Massive burrito. Ingredients tasted fresh. Wet sauce had great flavor. The chips at the salsa bar taste fresh and light. Wide variety of delicious salsa.

“Our server, Brenden was great. The man read our minds, not once but three times throughout dinner. Now that's service! The food was good. I wouldn't say mind-blowing, but, hot, fresh and well made. The prices are high, so I kind of do expect mind-blowing. My steak was tender and perfectly cooked, but maybe needed a little more salt and pepper for my loving. The calamari and lobster mac n cheese were all our favs. The atmosphere is upscale with a casual feel and I love that mix. Overall, a great time was had. We celebrated my son's 18th bday, and his and my nephews graduation and the entire family left with smiles on our faces.“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“We just finished a wonderful dinner of pork and chicken tamales with green sauce. Oh my goodness, it was the best we've had in a long time. Besides the friendly service, it's in a great location and easy to get to.“

“The first time I ordered, some extremely rare error had occurred and my takeout order through a meal delivery app wasn't processed (I've never had an issue ordering since this time and I got a full refund from the meal delivery app). When I got there, they explained the issue and seemed very apologetic. I paid at the register and they got to work on my food. When they handed me the bag with my order, they were super appreciative that I was patient and ordered in-person after the error. And they absolutely LOADED my takeout with extra helpings. It was very sweet. I live on my own and it took me maybe 6 meals to get through my order of one meat dish and one noodle dish.
Since returning, they have always greeted me warmly and the environment is just so peaceful to me. It feels like what I saw takeout places were in the movies as a kid. It sits next to a barber shop with a vintage aesthetic and a liquor store with a polite owner.
When I got back into my car one time, the chef was going on his smoke break and just gave me a sincere nod.
I know a lot of this may seem superficial but it's special in its simplicity. The food is good, the people are sweet, and you should order here and have a simple, quiet night.“

“GREAT fish and chips, don't judge a book by its cover. A handful of 4-person booths inside to enjoy your meal at; tables are clean and nowhere near as sticky as other fry shops I've been to.

Very reasonably priced and the pieces of fish are HUGE (like 9 inches of cod each). Family sized dinners are a good value--we got the 6-piece Rowboat--and they have Mug root beer in the fountain! (Pepsi products) The hushpuppies had good flavor and were not soggy or chewy. Fried oysters were huge and also good.

The house white sauce is more garlic cream than tartar sauce. There was a very tomato-forward slightly chunky spicy mock cocktail sauce that was also pleasant. Coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with some light creamy dressing, which was enough to offset the fried everything.

Overall one of my favorite stops on this side of town!“

“I love this place and after eating there actually looked up to see if I could buy stock...because I think it's that good. The menu is unique and the food is fresh tasting. The managers and staff are above and beyond in terms of customer service. I have an autoimmune issue and have to eat gluten free, dairy free and try to avoid certain cooking oils. It's such a hassle and I avoid eating out as it's embarrassing (I hate having to ask all sorts of questions and have my meal made custom- to leave out ingredients). Anyway, every time I have been here they have been super accommodating. The managers are superb and the staff is friendly. I tried a different location last time I was in the city and found that experience the same. I hope this place catches on and expands as I'd love to have it as an option in more locations.“

Vibe is modest and old school with fish and oceanic decor. The maps on the tables are cool too. Service is kind and quick. Only took about 10 minutes. Went in about half hour before closing so it was to-go only.“

Prices vary from lunch to dinner was $27, plus drinks and takeout box was $6 time a tiny box that only fits 8 shushi. Order digitally from the table. This place is always packed, arrive early. Ice cream is one scoop per bowl, so order two for each person. Same with appetizers 2 pieces per order, so order more than one! Not bad for the prices. If you love shushi this is the place for you!“
