“Wow wow wow!!! The fish and chips here are delicious!!! My husband and I ran in right before closing and the fish was so fresh and the batter was so crispy! My husband grew up in Washington eating fish and chips at Iver’s and he said this is the closest he’s ever had to their fish and chips. The owners are so sweet and hooked up us with a couple extra pieces since they were closing in a few minutes. Tugboat Fish and Chips is becoming a staple in our household!

“This is my new favorite Asian restaurant it’s far from home but so worth the drive. From the decor to service to the amazing food…. I can’t say how refreshing it is to be able to eat clean healthy Asian cuisine. The owner is Bill and I’ve met him twice now. He’s passionate about his restaurants, yes I said restaurants plural. He let me know there’s one in Eldorado Hills and Folsom as well as this one I’m reviewing in Citrus Heights on Sunrise. It’s beautiful, clean, and the food is so very delicious! “This place gets 5 stars for service alone. The folks here are very friendly and get your food out hot and fast. The fella at the counter was very patient with me when explaining the menu and another worker checked in on me frequently after my tray was served. They have great options to mix and match fried fish and chicken, with a long list of sides to add on as desired.

Ray’s offers a big selection of desserts consisting of a variety of sliced cakes and pies. They also offer homemade sauces, homemade drinks like lemonades and milkshakes, and large party platters. Bottled/canned drinks and ice cream are available in separate fridges/freezer.

I ordered the two piece fried snapper with a side of collard greens and a side of red beans and rice. Food came out quickly and very hot. The fish and fries were crispy and salty and paired well with the tarter sauce. Both sides came with generous amounts of turkey necks; they didn’t skimp on the meat.“

“I really enjoyed the dumplings from Uncle Dumplings! They were so good and full of flavor. The dumplings were juicy, soft, and literally burst in your mouth with every bite. 😋🥟 You can really taste that they’re freshly made, and I enjoyed every bite.

“We really enjoyed ourselves at Rudy's Hideaway. Food was delicious! We shared an appetizer, fried calamari. For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. We will definitely be back...highly recommend!“

Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. “This was our first time to try Flemings. We went there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had the most amazing experience. Mingo was our server and he did an exceptional job. He was very attentive and knew everything about every menu item. Staff was quick to bring our menu items to our table and pick up our used plates. Everyone in our party felt that we experienced the most exceptional dining experience ever. By the way, the food was so delicious and the food and drink presentation did not disappoint. “Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

Ordered a wet (green) jumbo burrito with pollo asada. Massive burrito. Ingredients tasted fresh. Wet sauce had great flavor. The chips at the salsa bar taste fresh and light. Wide variety of delicious salsa.

Service was kind and quick. Vibe is traditional, authentic taqueria.“

I went with my vegetarian friend and we had the sizzling braised tofu with vegetables.. it was very flavorful (black bean sauce) and we had their mixed vegetables.. I really enjoyed the food, filled my plate three times and still had leftovers for home. They also had lemon water as well as regular water.. it was a hot day outside so the lemon water was very refreshing. I would definitely go again when I am in the area.“

We ordered pork fried rice, pork chow mien, general Tao chicken, and Mongolian beef. 2 adults and one very hungry teenager ate and we had enough for left overs for all of us the next day. The food was the best Chinese food I've had in a while and definitely the best tasting in the area. Portions were generous, staff was super friendly, place was clean... what more could you ask for? “All you eat shushi buffet, order abd they’ll make fresh and can also order from the menu as well. Prices vary from lunch to dinner was $27, plus drinks and takeout box was $6 time a tiny box that only fits 8 shushi. Order digitally from the table. This place is always packed, arrive early. Ice cream is one scoop per bowl, so order two for each person. Same with appetizers 2 pieces per order, so order more than one! Not bad for the prices. If you love shushi this is the place for you!“

“GREAT fish and chips, don't judge a book by its cover. A handful of 4-person booths inside to enjoy your meal at; tables are clean and nowhere near as sticky as other fry shops I've been to.

Very reasonably priced and the pieces of fish are HUGE (like 9 inches of cod each). Family sized dinners are a good value--we got the 6-piece Rowboat--and they have Mug root beer in the fountain! (Pepsi products) The hushpuppies had good flavor and were not soggy or chewy. Fried oysters were huge and also good.

The house white sauce is more garlic cream than tartar sauce. There was a very tomato-forward slightly chunky spicy mock cocktail sauce that was also pleasant. Coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with some light creamy dressing, which was enough to offset the fried everything.

Overall one of my favorite stops on this side of town!“
