“The first time I ordered, some extremely rare error had occurred and my takeout order through a meal delivery app wasn't processed (I've never had an issue ordering since this time and I got a full refund from the meal delivery app). When I got there, they explained the issue and seemed very apologetic. I paid at the register and they got to work on my food. When they handed me the bag with my order, they were super appreciative that I was patient and ordered in-person after the error. And they absolutely LOADED my takeout with extra helpings. It was very sweet. I live on my own and it took me maybe 6 meals to get through my order of one meat dish and one noodle dish.
Since returning, they have always greeted me warmly and the environment is just so peaceful to me. It feels like what I saw takeout places were in the movies as a kid. It sits next to a barber shop with a vintage aesthetic and a liquor store with a polite owner.
When I got back into my car one time, the chef was going on his smoke break and just gave me a sincere nod.
I know a lot of this may seem superficial but it's special in its simplicity. The food is good, the people are sweet, and you should order here and have a simple, quiet night.“

He let me know there’s one in Eldorado Hills and Folsom as well as this one I’m reviewing in Citrus Heights on Sunrise. It’s beautiful, clean, and the food is so very delicious! “First time eating here last night. We ordered Gumbo, Garlic noodles, Wings, Tiffany wings, Shrimp basket, Sweet Potato fries and it all turned out to be very delicious. The decor was fun and vibrant. The music was the right touch. This place has been here for 11 years, it’s located right after the corner gas station Mack Rd and Stockton Blvd. We’ve overlooked it for some time and we were pleased with our visit. Can’t wait to go back to try more food. It was an amazing experience especially because of Richard, for his hospitality! 🤗“

“A very nice place with plenty of outdoor seating. The menu consists of various Mexican cuisines. The servers are extremely friendly, and helpful. The have an extensive happy hour menu as well. Unfortunately the shrimp in the Cocktail was over cooked, but the do offer plenty of shrimp. Definitely recommend this place.“

“We really enjoyed ourselves at Rudy's Hideaway. Food was delicious! We shared an appetizer, fried calamari. For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. We will definitely be back...highly recommend!“

“Wow wow wow!!! The fish and chips here are delicious!!! My husband and I ran in right before closing and the fish was so fresh and the batter was so crispy! My husband grew up in Washington eating fish and chips at Iver’s and he said this is the closest he’s ever had to their fish and chips. The owners are so sweet and hooked up us with a couple extra pieces since they were closing in a few minutes. Tugboat Fish and Chips is becoming a staple in our household!

“5 stars! For quality of food. Every dish we had tasted delicious. Brought us back to OC places, and better than some of the central Viet dishes in SoCal. From the house made sauce fried chicken wings (kids enjoyed), to the ca canh chua, mango salad was refreshingly good, and the morning glory was very nice. Didn't try the pho, but kids and bro enjoyed. Bro said the banh xeo was a little hard. It just took a REALLY long time for them to prepare the food--one cook that day maybe? But food was very high quality. Friendly service. Can get a little loud inside, looks like it hosts big groups and events, they was a karaoke group in the back.“

“Went there for a dinner for the first time . Wow , balut was so good my husband love them too. We had a hot pot as well and it's really soup warming. A dozen of yummy oysters and the bomb is the stir fry clams in garlic flavor we ordered it again because it was real fresh and good . “Stopped by Tugboat Fish & Chips and everything was sooo good. The fish was fresh, crispy, and perfectly cooked. The fries were top tier, the coleslaw was super fresh and crunchy, and the prawns were honestly to die for. You can tell the food is made fresh and with care. Definitely coming back!“

“Food truck with good food. I had fish ceviche and a carne asada Taco. Ceviche came in a cup with a couple of tostadas lime wedges and ketchup packets and crackers. Taco was a street taco and grilled onions and radishes on the side. I will be going back.“

I live in vallejo and the nearest poke one for me is in benicia… which cost me $20 all the time.. whenever I am near I always come to this place. this one is a good price and the portion fill me up so much 100% would recommend if you are looking to get filled up. “We love this place. Much attention is given to presentation and the food is excellent. This time we tried the Black Cod Steak. Cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce on top of asparagus.
Their starters are also very good. In addition to the Sonomono we tried the breaded fried Oysters that came with a creamy crab dipping sauce. Again, excellent. If you are adventurous or just love trying new tasty foods you will love this place. It is small and you will want to get there early, if you don’t want to wait.“

“First time, will return. The food was very good and plentiful, the prices reasonable for nowadays. The place is cute and clean.

We were a bit hesitant at first as no one else was in the restaurant, it was an odd hour though 2:30. Four other tables filled up before we left.

It was wonderful to get full size egg rolls! So many places are giving you tiny ones or even just halves. Didn't get a pic, but they are full size and very good.

We each had a lunch special, generous helpings and everything was very flavorful. We asked for the egg flower soup instead of the hot and sour due to personal preference and it was really good - even had a bit of chicken in it which you don't usually see. I had the general chicken, chicken chow mein and pork fried rice plate. He had the sweet and sour pork chicken chow mein and pork fried rice plate. Thoroughly enjoyed and we both have leftovers (unusual for him so that tells you the serving was a lot).

Only negative was that they charge $5 for a pot of hot tea. We passed. :(

“Delicious, fresh, hot chicken with tasty sides to match. The place is clean, the customer service is excellent, and there’s a bit of indoor seating available. It also has a small convenience store inside, which is a nice bonus. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, I’ve lived in Del Paso Heights for years and only recently discovered it. It’s right across from Grocery Outlet, and a great perk is that you can use your food card to buy Krispy Krunchy Chicken here.“

I love that Skips Fish and Chicken share a space so you can have both.

The only complaint I might have is that they didn't have the AC on on this day, only a big fan and it was a little warm, but totally bareable.“
