“Any time I'm in Sun Valley I'm going to this gem of a place. I like to join the boys after work on a Friday, but today happened to be a Thursday. The owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I totally recommend Hound Dog !!!!!“

“Originally opened in 1946 Cupid’s is a famous spot in Los Angeles to grab a great hotdog. They have many locations in the valley, this being the southernmost one. Cupid was a nickname of the founder’s wife and now it is in the third generation of the family. They have a very large free parking lot attached, and the service was truly great. The employee behind the counter was super sweet and she was very helpful.

It was our first time so we wanted to try a mix of items. We ordered the Cupid, the Triangle, and the Reuben. I would suggest adding cheese to the Cupid and the Triangle, which is what we did. All three were really good and the dog itself was very thin but snappy. The whole meal really hit the spot. I also got a cup of chili and thought it was great.

Overall, a great place to grab a great hotdog.

“Always wanted to come here, so we made the stop while celebrating my daughters birthday. The staff is great, but the people who come here are even better. Everyone was happy, talking, and laughing together. Music is playing in the background. Super amazing. We will be back again.

“I had a delicious lunch here! Prices were very reasonable considering the quantity of the food. The cashier was nice and the employees checked on me if I needed anything else. This is literally so welcoming yet delicious! I saw a couple kids here enjoying their meals and the restaurant even has options for kids such as popcorn chicken where the chicken is not spicy, and the chicken over rice plate too.
I see this restaurant opening more branches in the future. There was many people in and out of the restaurant, Indicating great customer service. 5 stars! ☺️??

“Food has always been good when i've been here in the past. it's been maybe almost a year more or less since i've been here. had it for the first time today in that long and i got the usual i get 2 hands dog with mozzarella filling. first couple bites were good. but unfortunately the last bite taste like rubbing alcohol or sum sort of sanetizer. hopefully it was a mistake. gonna take another break from eating here since i almost threw up.“

“Came here because we saw online that they were Celiac friendly and took allergies seriously. Fries don’t share a fryer with anything else. Gluten-free bun, and they clean the stovetop before they heat it up. Burgers and fries were excellent.

Edit: 3 hours later and husband is still fine. Legit!“

“The girl who was working here 5/20 around 5 pm needs a raise or management should do something about the homeless in the area for employee and customer safety. The girl was extremely patient, provided exceptional service, and remained more professional than I probably would’ve while a transient was giving her a hard time in the store. Other than that, food and donuts are great as usual.“

“Casual setting that’s family friendly and delicious food, with excellent service. If you like Crave in Jerusalem - hold onto your hat, Melrose burgers is even better. The pareve cheese they use has an incredible melt, all the meat is well flavored and the fries, chicken fingers, and fried pickles all came hot from the fryer and crispy. The staff was super nice and accommodating. We’ll def be back.“

The flavor was good, and the chili had a nice kick, but the cheese was a bit too much for my liking—it overpowered the other ingredients. Overall, still a tasty snack, but a little less cheese would have made it perfect.“
