“It’s definitely a local place since the staff know the majority of folks walking in the door, asking how are they doing? Their family, works, etc. it makes you warm and homey feeling. Easy parking and the place is clean and bright and spacious with both inside and outside seating. Plenty choices of bagels and morning cake (coffee cake). Plus variety of coffee and smoothies plus fresh squeezed juices. The bagel is soft and delish with great texture outside and toppings. The homemade cream spread is delicious and comes with varies choice of favor. Fantastic service overall. Will definitely comeback for more. Prices wise, decent & affordable.“

“Delicious, fresh, soft bagels! This place is a must try if you’re looking for fresh bagels. I come here all the time to get a half dozen. They have many flavors, Asiago, jalapeño, everything, garlic, sun dried tomato, sourdough, blueberry, wheat, poppy, coconut; and so many more. They also have tubs of cream cheese you can buy, I tried the chive & onion cream cheese and the Lox (smoked salmon) cream cheese, both SO good!
Once you try these, you can’t go back to store-bought bagels.“

“The oven was down for the coffee shop. I usually go to so I was looking for a breakfast place that was no fuss and fairly quick and easy for me to just get something to eat. Something cross my mind to check out some bagels and I looked around and saw this location that seemed to fit what I was looking for. it’s a fairly quiet and seem to have younger people that come to this location. The girls that were working, there were very polite and very sweet and very helpful with what I was looking for. Considering I wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat, they were very helpful with me. I ended up ordering the veggie breakfast bagel without sprouts and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. It was loaded with eggs and in this economy, I feel like I struck gold. I wish to take a photo, but I will definitely come back to order it again and maybe something else and take all the photos. If you’re in a mood for breakfast bagels, I recommend giving this place a shot!

I also left with a blueberry bagel and jalapeño and cheese bagel.

And as someone that stresses out a little bit if menus are a bit complicated or it’s hard for me to figure out what is what everything is clearly labeled, and I really appreciate the attention to detail to labeling the bagels on the display.“

“Delicious delicious delicious. Go early or you won't have any . Went on mother's day around 10 and was able to snatch one of the last bagle. The New York omlett was so good. Soft piping hot eggs with bacon and avocado?. Great customer service and the restroom is super clean which is a plus.“

“Fresh Bagels & Cafe is a popular local spot for bagels, breakfast, and lunch. Even on busy days, the food and service don't disappoint. The kind and hardworking staff can get you in and out quickly. I've been enjoying the food here for a few years.

I appreciate the variety of freshly baked bagels, along with a selection of cream cheese flavors. A few favorite items include toasted bagels with lox-flavored cream cheese, breakfast/omelette bagel sandwiches, and the Lox City bagel, which is perfect for hungrier mornings. The hot coffee options are good with your standard creams, sugars, and spices.

The traditional and specialty sandwiches served on a Dutch Crunch roll are also delicious. Additional food items include classic muffins, fresh rolls, croissants, and flavored cream cheeses to take home. The drinks available feature a variety of coffees, juices, smoothies, boba, teas, and more.

I'd recommend this place, and I'm looking forward to visiting again.“

“Came in this morning, First time, My bagel was amazing!! The bread itself was very soft and not hard and chewy like most bagels i’ve had. Very fresh! Also, Sweet young lady working the front was a big bonus! Loved this place! Wish i wasn’t visiting i’d come more often! :)“

“What a great hidden gem in Los Alamitos! I ordered an Americana bagel on jalapeño bread, a hot tea and an iced vanilla chai, everything was delicious. Plus they have ice nugget machine which I prefer instead of the big ice chunks for iced drinks!
The iced vanilla chai was SO good, much much better than its big corporation competitors. I will definitely come again. Both girls behind the counter were very kind and patient and gave me the WiFi password and gave me recommendations. They really made you feel at ease. What a delight to visit, I would certainly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for good prices, good food and yummy drinks!“

“Best bagels!! Free coffee with purchase. Love the jalapeño cream cheese. O always use the app and my order has always been there when I arrive. The order is always correct. So far only complaint is the app sometimes won't let my future date purchase go thru. But it does debit from my credit card and puts the money in my acct. Love the $9 for a bakers dozen...great deal.“

“I got a vanilla iced coffee, a cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry jelly, and a croissant (all of it was so good). I don’t know if this is usual but each food item came with 2 donut holes. Even though the flavored cream cheese is a jelly rather than a spread it works really well with the bagel. All the workers were so kind, especially the woman. She was just so motherly that I wanted to stay to eat in there but unfortunately I had somewhere to be.“

“I have been coming to Grounds Bakery & Cafe since the day they opened. They have some of the best fresh breads and pastries. Such a massive selection. My favorite are the sandwiches. Honestly the best tuna sandwich in the world. And literally, I mean the world- I have tried them everywhere. And their is not single place other then grounds that gets them right and perfect. “Mexes Cafe is a cute, quaint and dainty spot that really eminates with the essence of la familia y tradicion. I appreciate the vibe because it really reminds me of home. The art and the ambience really call to me and I have to give it a high recommendation without even talking about the drinks and food yet. On that note, I had pupusas and two lattes, one of which was a mazapan latte and the other was the horchata latte. I loved the fact that you could choose your own design on the latte. The mazapan latte, literally had such a nostalgic feel because it tastes exactly like the de la rosa candy. As for the horchata latte, you can never go wrong with that. It was very sweet, with that coffee undertone to make a great balance. I genuinely recommend visiting this spot because if you are in the mood for good vibes and good times!“
