“Maybe they put some sugar in the batter or some other ingredient but these donuts are delicious! They have the gamut from plain old fashioned to kid-friendly, day-glo treats. Mom and pop who run it are very nice. Location in a half empty mall is a little dreary.“

“Golden crème donuts AKA “Andrew’s” is an Ignacio staple. My family has been going to this mom and pop shop for over 30 years. Donuts and breakfast food are great and at a good price. Don’t let any of the bad reviews fool you, you get a better breakfast sandwich or donut at a better price point than any chain coffee or donut shop. I’m an old fashion donut guy, and haven’t had a better one yet elsewhere. Support local and go to Andrew’s!“

“Atmosphere is simple but the touches of the owners cultural heritage help it feel cozy and cute 🥰. Overall quality is fantastic, but I this place makes my favorite apple fritters.

I am usually an old fashioned or cake donut lover, so I usually don’t go for the fritters especially because past experiences I’ve where they are dry or don’t have much apple.

The apple fritter here is top notch. Perfectly fried, apple and icing ratio is balanced and complimentary. Because the dough is evenly fried, it has that melty texture to it.

I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. Long live Jelly Donut!“
