I drive from the East Bay usually late night when my husband and I are craving phenomenal donuts. The donuts are extremely fresh, the times I've been here there has been an older gentleman making them and racks of donuts ready to be bought. Yummmmmmm. Just incredible tasty donuts. You can tell the oil they get made in is also very fresh, no after taste of old oil. Donuts are not super greasy. The service is magnificent! The first time coming here the woman was extremely helpful and kind. The second time a young man helped us and he had a great personality and energy. “I still give this place five stars for their gluten free baked goods and take home lasagna but overall four stars because their service still sucks most of the time. I went by here recently on a Sunday morning before a meeting to grab something hot to eat. I love their hot pockets. However, it was 9:30 am. A number of people around me and I started to form a line. Some people asked the staff questions about the pastries and they answered while putting stuff out. None of the staff thought to tell us that they didn't open until 10 am on Sundays. After about 5 minutes of being ignored, I saw the small sign for their hours. I pointed it out to others and we all left. That was a horrible experience as I was hungry and now didn't have time to get something else before my meeting. On Pi Day, I came by and was pleased they had a number of pies available in different sizes. I picked up a small Chocolate Pie that was low in sugar and a small Cherry Pie. They were the perfect size for the three of us though they could have fed more people. We didn't finish the pies ourselves. The Chocolate Pie was yummy and perfect for me but my husband said it wasn't sweet enough for him. We all loved the Cherry Pie! We went back recently and picked up their pizza dough. It came with two rounds. They were awesome!!! We put on our own toppings and popped them into the oven. They came out delicious. I love their food. I just wish the service was better.“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! “Fried flour dough, if fried in fresh oil by someone who knows what they are doing, is a culinary miracle. Because it is no longer flour and water and eggs and leavening and a little salt. My co-workers agree with me on this. This doughnut shop is in a small strip mall on High Street across from Walgreen's, just as one gets off of 580 coming east. Going west there is that whole "High Street" exit thing happening, but once you get to High Street, turn left on High and go under 580 and voila, there you are, look for the small strip mall on the right. And because this is a little strip mall, usually you can park for free. And there is a taqueria next door. The lady behind the counter was SO NICE. I went in and said "all I have is $20" since it is cash only and I only had a 20 dollar bill in the cash division. And she filled up a BIG PINK BOX with like 10 doughnuts or maybe more, I was in too much of a hurry to count them. So now I am getting crackling sugar glaze everywhere at my desk as I scarf this down and review DICK'S DONUTS. And my co-workers are walking by my office saying "thank you!" Still prefer working from home, but if you have to be there, soften the blow with doughnuts.“

The marzipan and ginger were especially flavorful.We got the ice cream sandwiches, the bread is very similar to a doughnut. They have a few tables and chairs to enjoy your food and drinks there as well. I got a regular coffee, which I enjoyed, but the star of the show was the donut. I had the lemon poppy seed donut, which is one of their seasonal options. The flavors were great and I particularly liked that it wasn't too sweet. “This place is AWESOME! Being vegan, I asked what was available. I was told the plain cake donut, the sugar donut and the crumb donut were all vegan! I grabbed a crumb and sugar and they blew me away. Absolutely wonderful. My partner, who is not vegan, got an egg and cheese sandwich that was HUGE and delicious! Not cool for mom and pop places.I got there and my go to in the donut arena is usually jelly filled donuts and french crullers though a lot of places don't make/have them. The staff are sweet and nice. You can tell the early risers had already been in and they are were restocking the donut window. It's not a fancy place, but like they say, location is everything. The jelly donuts were huge, so I opted for two raspberry filled, a regular twist and sugar donute. Last minute decided on 1/2 donut holes cuz they were enormous. Since it was my first time there and a lot of the co-workers go there, she apparently gave me some extra donut holes. The donuts were fresh and the jelly was a good amount.Will be back.“

Sure there are fancy, pseudo gourmet donuts places that charge you absurd amounts for 87 cents worth of ingredients, but nothing beats an old school donut shop. “Traditional mom and pop donut shop. Good quality good prices. There are so many uber expensive donut shops popping up that its becoming difficult to find a decent traditional donut shop these days. This is a small family run business - unlike Duncans or Krispy Kreme - huge corporations. There is nothing wrong with the big guys - it is predictable and familiar - but if a smaller run business does just as good or better - its great to patronize. I tend to dislike Krispy Kreme - too gooey. Soggy - greasy somehow. These donuts sold here are big and fluffy and very fresh. Tons of variety as you could imagine and a personal touch too. The area is safe and there is a lot of new construction - hopefully that means more turnover and freshness. Interior is clean and some windows to look out and enjoy.“

Yay ordered a half and half original and three donuts. My son ordered a half and half hot Cheetos and we were so quiet while eating our corn dogs because damn it was hella good! The cheese was melty and was strong with each bite and the outside was nice and crunchy. The hot dog was ok, I preferred the cheese more. The donuts were mochi and perfectly yummy! The berliners are perfectly light and airy, with custard filling with just a touch of sweetness. The seasonal one with fresh strawberries is a perfect combination of the airy donut, lightly sweet custard, and fresh slices of juicy fruit. The strawberry jam one is packed with tart jam and really brings the flavor. The Black Forest cake is authentic in that it has that chocolate richness with the added flavor of cherry kirsch, but the texture is light and uplifting rather than heavy. All of the pastries that I've tried have a satisfying flake and distinct layers, and aren't too sweet. The pretzel sandwiches (both ham and mozzarella) options are small but delicious, with the pretzel roll itself so light and chewy, and with fresh and tasty fillings. Overall highly recommend if you're in the area! Just be prepared to take these to go since there's no seating“

“Got beef combo pho here on a Friday. Overall yum! I got it for take out. It's a bit pricey, coming to ~$17 with tax!! But, this area doesn't get the foot traffic it used to and the pho hit the spot. They were also accommodating when I asked for no noodles -- so, I got extra soup. It comes with 4 halves of meatballs (yum!), nice amount of beef slices (they provide spicy and hoisin sauce packets, which makes for great dipping sauce for the beef), tripe was tasty with great texture (slight crunch, not tough), healthy amount of sprouts.“
