“I ordered two dozen mochi donuts for a party and my guests loved them! Nice variety of flavors and great atmosphere with a space to host an event. The nice packaging also matched the quality of the mochi donuts. I appreciate the follow-up call to confirm my online order. Definitely will be returning for more mochi donuts and looking forward to trying the boba drinks!“
“I love that every time I come in, the owner remembers me and my order. It's like an extra layer of customer service that I appreciate as a senior who doesn't come in that often.Meanwhile, the old fashioneds, the blueberry muffins, and the breakfast croissant sandwiches are my favorites.“
“Amazing donuts made by equally amazing people. The staff here is so friendly and always so happy. You can taste the love these donuts are made with. I try to pick up a box of a dozen donuts for our photo shoots and everyone on set loves them. I always look forward to coming back and getting more.“
“Great Boba place with plenty of yummy choices. Decorations are fun, and there is a kids' play area that was clean and fun for little ones to enjoy. Every wall seems Instagram worthy for pictures. It's worth checking out if you're in the area.Kid-friendliness: They have non caffeine drinks with less sugar options for kids.“
“Not bad, but also a bit ‘plain Jane.’ Wanted a simple scramble and wasn’t expecting a giant layer of cheap processed cheese coating the top of my meal (seriously like a Chicago style deep dish pizza). I’d order the chorizo again tho, just without cheddar.Food came out super fast. Both waitresses seemed super attentive. Ty for having me and cheers.“
“Love this place. Some of the best donuts ever. The bat area doesn't have many great donut shops, but this is one! They have incredible flavors ?. My fav is the creme brulee or the lemon ?. Though any is gonna be Great. My only complaint is that i shouldn't eat donuts everyday! This shio is truly a gem. If you need high quality donut action, stop in now! ?“
“Fast, fun, friendly, and delicious! Johnny's Donuts is my trusted friend when I need to grab delicious donuts for any reason. They're always open early, they are very friendly, and even though they are very busy, they give fast and friendly service every time.“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“I've already made a mental note to revisit this cool donut shop the next time I'm in the neighborhood. The inventive combos, friendly staff, and the sheer addictiveness of their donuts make it a must-visit spot. If you're a donut enthusiast or just someone looking to treat your taste buds to something extraordinary, do yourself a favor and check out this delightful gem. You won't be disappointed!“
“I would like to express my gratitude to the young man at the front desk, whom I believe is the owner. This morning was quite challenging ?, and I'm sure parents with children can relate. In short, my son had a potluck at school, and we decided to bring donuts from a place we have visited before.I had ordered 28 donuts for my son's classmates, but while placing the order, I realized that I had cancelled my card, thinking that I had lost it. Consequently, my card was declined. However, the young gentleman, who happened to be of Asian-American descent, overheard the situation and kindly offered a solution. He didn't want my son to be late for school, so he suggested that I take the donuts now and return later to pay. I was pleasantly surprised by his act of kindness, and I genuinely felt that he meant it. Since I live only 4 minutes away, I accepted his offer. Writing reviews is not something I do often, except in circumstances like these. The gentleman took a risk on me, although it wasn't a large sum of money. Yet, for a local business, every risk matters. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to him for trusting me. As promised, I went back to the shop 15 minutes later to settle the payment.“
“I love this place and have been going for years. The quality of food remains fantastic and the owners are so kind and lovely, definitely helps cheer up an early morning. I used to work in a bakery and these donuts here are the best I’ve had since. Very fluffy and doesn’t taste like a manufactured sweet flavor at all (like some corporate chains). Hope to keep going here!“
“I stopped by this morning around 10:50am, and it was just one other person inside when I got there, so my wait time was literally like a minute. I ordered the banh mi beef sandwich, Chai latte, and got two dozen of the mini doughnut balls. The sandwich was so delicious! It was spicy, too. You can get it without spicy just for your information. The Chai latte was super yummy! I got a small and wish I had gotten a large size. I'll definitely be visiting again sometime soon!“
“The man behind the counter has such a fantastic attitude and personality- thank you. AND both the regular coffee and creative coffee drinks are great. I was surprised by how good the vegan donuts are too. At first I was disappointed that there weren’t other types of pastries to try, but these are really yummy!Vegetarian options: All vegan!“
“I went to Dream Fluff recently because we moved and someone told me it was incredible. DF was good, but Golden Gate is GREAT. The best donuts, the lady is lovely and the prices are good. I recommend to everyone I know. The only thing that ever stops me from going more regularly is cos I'm trying to lose weight. Else I'd go every other day.“
“Thee softest freshest donuts everrrrrr.Fan favorite at my work! And my household! We love love the blueberry donuts and there glazed ones! I often get there cheese and ham croissants and it's huge! I've also had their cinnamon rolls which are huge as well. The donuts are very affordable. They redesigned the exterior which looks really nice! In the morning there is always a line but it goes by quickly. I would go early if you can, as the options are limited later in the day.“
“got a good tasty donut with coffee at $5.15, paid with credit card as their minimum is $5 and no cash bill bigger than $20. sketchy looking lotto machines as they’re all tagged up but they’re right in front of the workers?? I wonder if the workers are in on it ?“
“Stopped in here the other day to pick up a dozen donuts for a birthday celebration at my gym. The young lady behind the counter greeted me with a friendly smile and filled me order quickly. It was $20 for a mixed dozen, but she threw in an extra donut AND a bag of donut holes. The donuts were a hit at the bday celebration after workout. They were fresh and delicious! I'll definitely be back in the future!“
“Love their selection of donuts. The 1st time I'd ever had a maple bacon donut was from here and they make them soooo well! They also have some bomb drinks. A CA Lottery ticket machine in the lobby to win some money while you get your donut on.Special Note: their bathroom is exceptionally clean and well maintained.“
“August 29, 2023Lee's Donuts, a restaurant, contained great breakfast and lunch food to consume on August 28, 2023. Yet, the only reason I tried their food through a decent CUSTOMER SERVICE centered on it was in the very vicinity to require my attendance. That was the only reason for my consumer contribution. Great sandwich and thanks!Thank you,Marcus Pea“
“Love the rotating ice cream flavors, interesting flavor choices and all were tasty. We tried the ginger, marzipan, red bean, and pumpkin. The marzipan and ginger were especially flavorful. We got the ice cream sandwiches, the bread is very similar to a doughnut. The ratio of ice cream to bread is perfect, although it tastes best when eaten right away and the bread is still a little warm. Not a negative but just something to note - the sandwiches are pretty messy to eat, so grab napkins!“
“I had the opportunity to try these and it did not disappoint. The texture and favors were pretty good. It is definitely a treat to get these and you need to order ahead for weekend pickup. The favors were: vanilla, lemon poppy seed, chocolate, ube (sweet purple potato), pumpkin spice and red velvet. I would recommend these if you want to treat yourself, family and friends.“
“I have been going to Dream Fluff Donuts for over 20 years. They are a local institution. If you're looking for classic donuts that are super fluffy and fresh look no further. There is often a line but it goes quick and also speaks to their popularity. The ambiance is old school. They haven't updated much since they opened but it's clean and quaint. Diner vibes. My favorite are their old fashioned donuts and their raised donuts (their fluffiest). They also are super reasonably priced.“
“when i want to pick up a box of donuts for work i always come to lee's donuts, the donuts are delicious and fresh and the prices are great. it hasn't ever been too busy when i get there (~630am) so i'm in and out in 5 minutes. i especially love their old fashioned cake donuts :)“
“This hole in the wall donut shop has the best apple fritters in the world according to my lady. I think their other donuts are great too. Make sure to bring cash and to lock your car. It is right off of the freeway. Getting back on the freeway can be confusing, but it isn't far.“
“Wish I could put more than five stars!! Best glazed donut I have ever had - and the woman running the shop could not be more kind. It is not every day in Oakland that one comes across a business as inviting and people-forward as this one. It is the ONLY place I would go out of my way to visit purely for the spirit of their customer service.. luckily, the quality of the donuts measures up! Tip: in the morning the donuts are freshly made and so warm they practically melt in your mouth.. a heavenly experience ?“
“I've driven past this place for the last 3 months on my way to work. I haven't stopped in because I'm usually just about on-time to work. However I was craving donuts as made a conscious effort to leave a little early to try this place out, also I had heard that this place had gotten broken into and robbed. Not cool for mom and pop places.I got there and my go to in the donut arena is usually jelly filled donuts and french crullers though a lot of places don't make/have them. The staff are sweet and nice. You can tell the early risers had already been in and they are were restocking the donut window. It's not a fancy place, but like they say, location is everything. The jelly donuts were huge, so I opted for two raspberry filled, a regular twist and sugar donute. Last minute decided on 1/2 donut holes cuz they were enormous. Since it was my first time there and a lot of the co-workers go there, she apparently gave me some extra donut holes. The donuts were fresh and the jelly was a good amount. Will be back.“
“Bacon egg and cheese breakfast croissants. There’s not a more greasy decadent breakfast sandwich I want to eat. They make it with love too. The people here are always so nice and they work hard to make you come back. Love the sandwiches. Please give them your business. Oh yeah, donuts and coffee too. :D And loads of parking.“
“This place has the best doughnuts. They’re fresh and quite big and they have a great variety. Coffee is always fresh and hot with a selection of sugars and creamers. They also have a great selection of breakfast sandwiches that include ones made with doughnuts! If your play the lottery this is a great place to come (always see lots of ppl here chillin and playing) definitely my go to spot for coffee and doughnuts!“
“The staff was friendly! She mentioned her husband is the one collecting currency. If you see international bills on the wall that's the story, bring some from your travels for these wonderful folks who make delicious donuts I had some and it was fire!!!!!!! I'll have to return , preferably with bills from my travels“
“Was walking around this shopping area and saw this donut shop across the street. I saw they had French donuts (the airy, eggy ones) which I love and decided to grab one. They have a $5 card minimum but I had cash. It was $2.75. The shop is cute, nothing stood out though. Except the lady working immediately greeted me even though she was still finishing up helping the customer before me, and she seemed very nice and welcoming! When I told her what I wanted, she confirmed if I wanted filled or not filled (I didn't know filled was an option), but I went for the classic French glazed not filled. It was delicious, soft and fluffy, just what I wanted. I would go back to get the same thing!“
“I've stopped by here a few times and it's been an interesting experience. I've only got breakfast food so I can't speak on the other options but overall it is a good establishment with good pricing. There aren't many options at a similar price point in the area but the food I did get wasn't the best quality but it wasn't terrible. It did mess my stomach up a bit but was worth it.“
“Nice clean donut shop. We were getting a tire repaired across the street and needed to kill some time and have a snack. Voila! Donuts. Owners were kind and helpful. It's cash only, but there's an atm inside. Nice selection of beverages and the donuts were fluffy and warm. My kid ate them faster than I could take a picture. I don't know what more you want from a donut store. But this one also has ice cream as a bonus. :)“
“Legit boba place. One of my ultimate forever favorite places to get boba! I did wonder why I never left a review while my butt keeps coming back here! But here I am.I've seen how this place struggled while pandemic was happening. Whenever I pass by I keep looking at that "Open" sign if it's on that's how I would know if they are open. There was a time that they were closed for how many days probably months. They have been through it all! I am just glad this place still exist! Boba drink is always made with love very refreshing make sure to tell them what's your sugar level! DO NOT FORGET TO LEAVE A CASH TIP :) Bagels, Croissants, Donuts are always fresh! My most favorite is bagel sausage and cheese! it used to be $3.50 however after pandemic prices went up which understandable. Service is always fast and efficient thats why i like it here :) I suggest coming here and check them out!“
“In addition to nice fresh donuts they also have a wonderful lunch steam table with chicken, chicken strips, fried fish, steamed vegetables, fried rice, chow mein and a few other items at very reasonable prices. I usually get the fish plate with vegetables or chicken and chow mein. You'll have to go early though as they sell out frequently throughout the day. They also have a nice assortment of bottled drinks.Parking: Parking is a little tricky because it's a tiny lot but be patient as cars are frequently pulling in and out and you'll be able to find a spot in a matter of minutes.“
“The staff are always welcoming and attentive. These donuts make me very happy… butsavory-wise, I’m a sucker for theirSausage, Egg, and Cheese [SEC] Croissant. It’s toasted as prepared but you’re welcome to add ‘Extra Toasty’ if you want a little more crunch/texture. Portions are great. Cold Brews are solid. And donuts are fresh and fluffy. In relation to my review, I’d recommend The SEC Croissant w/ a Cold Brew and maybe a ‘Raised’ Donut of your choice; I.e., Glazed, Maple, Chocolate… etc. Also Accepts DoorDash PickUp orders for early morning detours before clocking in. Hope this helps.“
“When my Berkeley-native friend suggested vegan donuts for dessert, I was honestly pretty hesitant. He swore they tasted amazing and convinced me to try them. My group of 9 popped in to Donut Farm on Saturday afternoon around 20 minutes before closing. There were plenty of metered street parking spots close to the shop. The interior is simple and no fuss. The employee was not exactly bubbly, but answered the questions we had. All of the donuts I tried were REALLY good! ($3-$3.50 each). Would never have been able to tell they were vegan. ----- FLAVORS ----- * Philz coffee - My least favorite due to lack of strong coffee flavor, but still tasty. * Lavender earl grey - My favorite. The taste was well-balanced. You could taste the floral tea notes, but it was not overwhelming. * Matcha - This was an instant order for me. If matcha's on the menu, I always get it. This donut did not disappoint. * Chocolate cookie donut - My partner's favorite because he loves chocolate. It wasn't overpoweringly rich. * Orange creamsicle - Really light subtle flavor. * Blueberry - Tasty, but not the most memorable of the bunch. Donut Farm is definitely worth it and I look forward to coming back.“
“Wonderful!! David was SUPER helpful from beginning to end!! We had a big order and they were so accommodating, so nice, and restaurant was IMMACULATE!! They did great powering at 120 donuts ! Glad we were able to support local !! Thanks so much!!“
“I was in the neighborhood in need of some coffee and came across States Coffee. Very small shop that's offers pastries and your basic go-to coffees and teas.I tried their cold brew which was not too strong or bitter and it gave me the boost I needed for the day.The service is very friendly! Would recommend for a quick grab and go coffee.“
“They have a lot of stuff in the lobby. The Apple fritter was okay and good on some parts but it was burnt. I’ll give them another try.Update: I ordered more donuts and some were better than others. I prefer going to my local donut shop. However, when I’m in the area I wouldn’t mind stopping from time to time to grab a few donuts.“
“On a Friday afternoon, my husband and I were looking to get some donuts. We went to another shop, but they were all sold out. Lucky for us, Lucky Donut had plenty left. No matter which donut shop we go to, we get one blueberry cake donut and one Apple fritter. The blueberry cake donut was so good! I loved the texture and the blueberry flavor was strong. The Apple fritter was a little more bready than we prefer, but it was more enjoyable after we air fried it a bit. Would definitely go back for the blueberry cake donut!“
“Adorable little donut place just off adorable Webster street on the adorable Island of Alameda. Filled with happy people. Just spent $60 dollars on office snacks here. Usual donut fare, with some upscale surprises. Two thumbs up for the kouign amann and the fresh strawberry whipped creme concoction. The humble little buttermilk squares were also yummy. Two dozen donuts vanished from the office break room in record time. I'll be back.“
