I just had lunch at Basta, in Agora’s Whizzin Market and gotta say I’m surprised, and a little miffed.Sure the staff are great with each one genuinely happy I came in. They even smiled. The atmosphere is open, inviting, warm and has a great combination of Mexican blues, warm tones, and wrought iron.I’ve never been here before as Whizzin Market is a little out of the way for me.But in spite of all the reasons it should have all been in the feel good category, my lunch went another direction.I had originally thought to order one of the bowls which cater to veggie, meat, or fish prefs. The Jidori Chicken Bowl seemed my speed which I asked about. My server, Cruz asked if I wanted the roast chicken or the bowl?Roast Chicken is my comfort food and I lost my mind for a beat. Then committed a classic amateur restaurant goer move:The panic order.“Roasted, please,” I heard myself say. Cruz refilled my coffee and disappeared. The dice now rolled, I waited.The chicken was good. No, not just good, but magnificent. So good I felt a mix of relief, surprise and annoyance. None of this was directed at the staff, Basta’s management, or the even the poor chicken.First, being from a small town in Indiana originally, I’ve eaten chicken at least 23x a week since 1970 and I’ve never tasted chicken like this. From the light golden sauce to crispy skin, it was ideally cooked and served immediately. I had no idea. No exaggerating.Second, that this lunch in terms of price point is a super value. Check the menu when you stop in, but you’ll find Basta a wonderful value for the level of care and attention to it all.All that to say, I’m so mad I haven’t been here earlier. Regardless of the distance, it should have been on my list.Consider yourself warned you may feel the same.Parking: Get here early if Canyon Club has a show.“
“Came here with a friend - we got a thin crust pepperoni and the Sicilian with red sauce/pesto/ricotta. Both were very good! My only gripe is there's almost no seating, the water is a bit of a hassle (metal self-serve jug with little plastic cups), and it's expensive.“
“We had a little fun the other day and got slices from a few places we hadn't tried yet (Parma, Slice House and Deninos). Parma was the clear winner for me. Excellent crust that was perfectly thin and crispy, sauce was balanced, not too sweet and not too much of it, cheese was delish and had a nice cheese pull, pepperoni, which I don't usually like) was nice and crispy. The staff was very nice and they looked like they were having a good time working. Will definitely be going back.Parking: The parking lot is in the back, and there is plenty of parking.“
“Had a very good pizza and mozzarella sticks but mostly this is a walk up place. There are chairs and tables both inside and out, though no real "dining area" inside as the whole place is basically the kitchen. Also, no place to park, so if you want to stay there, you'll have to find a place to park and walk.“

“We have eaten here many times, and the food is always delicious. However, this time we had a reservation and we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. After salad and appetizers it took almost and hour to receive our entrees. We all ordered pasta dishes and they were over priced and very small portions as well. My son ordered the Lobster special pasta and the pasta portion was child size! There was also a 35.00 corkage fee, which is a little high for a restaurant trying not to be pretentious. This experience reminds us of why we don't eat here that often. The food is delicious, which is probably why we will find our way back eventually!“

I’m a delivery driver and I work in many cities but every time I’m in Simi I always save my appetite so I can stop here and get me a Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a garden salad. Los Angeles is not normally known for their pizza but you cannot miss this affordable delicious spot when passing through or visiting. We dined in and ordered the family sized baked ziti, a regular sized meatless Italian salad, garlic knots with marinara sauce, and a large canola for dessert.The ziti was rich and cooked perfectly and tasted so good! The family portion was way more food than we needed for 2 adults and a child, though. The regular size would have fed us all.The meatless Italian salad was fresh and included romaine lettuce, mozzarella cheese, olives, tomatoes, and pepperoncinis. The Italian dressing was served on the side and it was all delicious.I ordered an 805 draft beer, which came in a cold glass. So good!The canoli was rich, creamy, crispy with a bit of chocolate drizzle on the plate. It tasted authentic and really good!The prices at D'Amore's Pizza are very reasonable, especially considering that we had a family portion of ziti for $24.I highly recommend you try D'Amore's Pizza for an authentically delicious and reasonably priced Italian meal.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu options are plentiful.“

I phoned the restaurant and a friendly voice kindly answered all of the questions I had about the menu. I decided to order the Midnight Pizza and the Downhome Pizza, both “Ma Dukes style” (so yummy!), and a Mama Dukes Salad. We also got Ma Dukes Beignets with Caramel & Flake Salt for dessert. Everything was so fresh and unique and delicious! The pizza crust was perfect with just the right balance of crunch and chewiness. In fact when our server found out that 2 of us had birthday’s she gave us a free dessert and we had already paid and we’re getting ready to leave. What a fun day to celebrate there. Needs a little redecorating/update and I had a rough time finding it as it’s stuck in an office park next door to a Hotel. But totally worth the time!! “I ate admin amici's and I thought there was a lunch special but $13 for scapega and meatballs very good but not even garlic bread or a soft drink to go with it are you kidding me I've never had that experience before with meatballs spaghetti they always give some garlic bread or drink something cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap you're lose in business you lost mine better off at domino's and You know so I bought a loaf of garlic bread that was like $4 so I paid $17 for a spaghetti and meatballs and some Gallic bread are you kidding no no I mean not worth it Cheap cheap cheap bike you're not gonna stay in business there's plenty of other places you get a lot more for your money and it's just as good if not better“

“Very low expectations as cafes in museums are never great, but wow!! We got a slice of pepperoni pizza, pulled pork sandwich, and fries. Its cafeteria style, but It was all as good as a sitdown restaurant. The pizza was the real winner for me. Don't be fooled by it being under a heating lamp. Super cheesy and something about the dough was magical - crisp on the edges and super fluffy and chewy on the inside. Definitely better than most places that sell single slices. Honestly if I were ever in the area, I'd go just for the cafe. And luckily, you don't need a ticket to the library to go!“
“It is very good authentic Italian food. I’ve had a couple of meals here and they both tasted great. However, they don’t have a very large menu and there were only a few things on the menu that sounded good. It’s also one of the few places I go where none of the appetizers sound too appetizing. It’s not that I think the food will taste bad, it just doesn’t excite me and make me interested in ordering it. The staff is very attentive and helpful. It’s a great restaurant, I just wish they had more things in line with my tastes.“

I was one of the few that won the free medium burrata cheese pizza that was being given away to the first 10 who called with the phrase “burrata pie”. Let me say it was great. The service by the owner/manager was great. Real cool guys working there. The pizza was insanely good. My ideal pizza is a crispy thing New York style pizza. This was up there with others I’ve had and I would go back and buy one. Their wings are crazy crispy as well even thoe I did not get them this time around. Oh and he even threw in 2 free bagels of my choice so that was above and beyond! Thanks Guys.“
