“This was by far them most delicious authentic Mexican food we have eaten this side of the border. The love and compassion that is put into the food served here is beyond excellent. As you walk in, you will immediately feel the transformation of old Mexico with its rustic beamed ceilings and mosaic hand painted tile floors. The atmosphere speaks for itself. You can tell the owners who also work there that they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend this place and think of it as a very special jem of Oakdale. Ray & Gina Hoot“

“We went for brunch 🍳 Clean restaurant and had good music. The server was attentive and the wait for food was not long. I had a mimosa🍷and it went perfect with my chilaquiles, well prepared . I will definitely be dining here again. A lot of options on the menu I need to try.“

Not only are the tacos that I get extremely flavorful and juicy, the salsa is the PERFECT level of spice. The employees are incredibly sweet, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. “I've come back to rate this spot a couple of months after visiting because the buritto I had here was absolutely exceptional.

I was just passing through town on a long drive and randomly stopped in for a quick bite, only to be served up the best Buritto I've ever had. It slapped.

Can't talk to everything else on the menu, but I really very much enjoyed my experience here. Unlike my partner who is so bored about hearing about the now legendary 'Oakdale Burrito' 🌯“

“Okay, we were driving by Oakdale, and see a 4.6 star joint with over 400 reviews. It must be legit. We had to stop by. Initially we weren't too excited that it was Latin food, not because we don't like it but after a long drive none of us were in the mood for taking risks.

Other than the guac not being absolutely fresh (still fresh though), the food turned out to be awesome, given the location and price point. The fish taco with battered cod was perhaps one of the best I've had. It almost came out like a Mexican salad with plenty of onions, lettuce on a bed of rice. But lifted with tortillas, it was again fascinating. The steak was juicy but you shouldn't expect steakhouse steak here. And the pasta was also solid for the kids.

Also, the gentleman who served us was super friendly. We initally felt like we were being stood up but once he found us, everything was wonderful.

Oakdale is a city/town you drive by a lot on your way to Yosemite. And when doing so, I highly recommend stopping by at Cafe Bravo. You'd be pleasantly surprised at the caliber of Latin comfort food they serve.“

“This place is my new go-to in the area. The salsa bar is on point! Good options for carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores alike. Used to go to El Agave nearby but they discontinued their self-serve salsa bar, so I will be coming back to Taqueria Riverbank instead - no question.“

“We went into Taco Bell after a long trip to the mountains and wanted dinner . As we walked up to order on the register the lady tells us use the kiosk and she would help if we need it. Well after that 3 other customers came in and went to the register and ordered. They came in after us but got served first. I don’t think that’s really fair! But that’s the world now!“
