Small and quiet place focused on quality and presentation of food. Servers were polite and attentive.

Love the Omakase here and come back any time budget allows. The chef and staff are engaging if you want to chat, or happy to leave you alone and let you enjoy your meal.Dietary restrictions: Share ahead of time and (within reason) the chef will accommodate. Obviously not compatible with highly restrictive diets.

This place is a must go.One thing I look for in places like this is simple but unique flavors. The chefs here absolutely knocked it out of the park with every dish. The flavor combinations were incredible, the textures were spot on, and the plating was beautiful. The staff was really kind and helpful and the overall atmosphere was really laid back. Can't wait to come back.

Just had dinner at Delage. It was such a delicious meal with wonderful service and very knowledgeable chefs preparing the sushi right in front of us. All of the flavor combinations were creative and well-balanced, and the food was presented very well with the artistic bowls and plates. Would definitely recommend this place for a fancy night out!Parking: Paid street parking. On a Saturday night, there were plenty of parking spots within a block of the restaurant.

Atypical. Tiny restaurant (10 seats, 6 at the counter, one table for 4) with a unique 7-course menu changing each week. Food is very delicate, essentially around fish (only one small piece with meat during the whole meal). I was maybe expecting something more creative, more different across the courses, but was still very enjoyable. Service was very efficient, as all guests were mostly served at the same time.

A delicious 10-course dinner to delight the palate! Each course presented our palates with new and exciting flavors from the nuanced and subtle to the exciting and bold. The price-fixe omakaze menu was pleasing to the palate and the eyes. Textures, flavors, and colors—all converged to make a wonderful dinner. We had a fun conversation with Chef Chikara and company and look forward to visiting his other restaurants and other ventures. ?Don’t hesitate to treat yourself and your loved one(s) to a dinner at Delage. Chef-owner Chikara Ono and his staff will ensure your experience is superb.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how beautiful each dish was. And of course tasted very delicious!!There is only one main chef and one server but it is a tiny restaurant with only a handful of seats. There are six seats at the bar and a table that could seat four. So make sure to make a reservation! There is a different set course menu everyday. I am attaching a photo of the menu but it had a pleasant appetizer, salad, 2 pc sushi, 4 pc nigiri, palate cleanser (ours was a super yummy plum/yuzu drink), fish katsu, chirashi, 4 pc nigiri again, soup, and dessert! It was very worth the price ($125 per person plus tax plus tip came out to be $326 for two of us).It was yummy but SO PRETTY!!! Each dish was such an artWould definitely go back many many times.(FYI - there is only limited street parking)

Highly recommend. They have two seatings a night. It was an 8 course prix fixe menu. The food is fresh, original, diverse and delicious. Everyone will have their own favorite dish.

Disappointing experience and waste of money.1. Two waiters were training as sushi chefs and took turns. They clearly don't seem fully comfortable making sushi—one struggled constantly with rice grains stuck to her fingers and they took a long time. I fully support training chefs but not for the same full price of $125. Feels dishonest frankly.2. The waiter chefs and even the head chef for dinner were reading notes cards to introduce us to the fish for the nigiri.3. Service was sloppy: Pouring too much water in the teapot so that it spilled onto the counter, dropping the soy sauce spoon several times, a nigiri toppling over on the plate as they were serving,4. Bathroom situation seemed like a shared bathroom with a local market and area smelled like smoke and weed.5. Presentation was sloppy—drops of extra soy sauce on the plate for instance6. They ask for payment (including tip) before they even serve you. Nit: the QR code and sharpie for the table number made the experience feel less like fine dining7. Food was disappointing. Examples: The yuzu soup was awkward to eat from and the crackers that were supposed to add a crunchy texture were soggy. The items wrapped in bamboo leaf were dry and lacked in flavor. The garnishes on the nigiri overpowered the taste of the fish, some of which tasted fishy and not fresh. And it goes on.I've been to better places in SF that are cheaper or comparable in price for far better food and service. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Every thing was so delicious. I love how creative the chef was to put together beautiful dishes with fresh ingredients. I love all the different flavors combinations, read the description on the menu. Not overpowering but go so well with all the ingredients. I love miso cream sauce with the black cod. I love the dessert at the end. Just perfect way to finish off the meal, not too sweet.

The food was good but not good enough for the price point. The presentation was great but felt like it was an afterthought to inflate pricing. There is not much of an ambience either. I'd recommend taking your 125/pp to another sushi spot.

Fabulous sushi! Everything that came out was so beautifully presented and delectably delicious. I had urchin for the first time in my life! We will definitely be back!
