I love everything about this place. The food is amazing - I recommend the mafe, baobab gambas (shrimp and garlic sauce) and the plantains with the tamarind yogurt sauce. Sooooo good. Also great cocktails! One of the only places I know of that has tamarind and hibiscus cocktails, which are my two favorite flavors. Their salsa nights are really fun and they always have great live music. Staff are so nice too! I really like their outdoor area too - great ambiance all around.
There is a lot to do here besides enjoy great West African food. Bissau is know for their dance scene and deep display of various cultures and ethnic background. Each week, you will find different live events whether it be music, dance classes, or just dancing in general you are always in for a good time. I recently went to Bissap Baobab with my beloved. I first experienced here at a recent Elite Yelp event and enjoyed it very much. First things first the service and hospitality is superb.
