Cafe of the Bay used to be a bustling place, but when I went in around 8:15A for breakfast, there were just two of us. The servers were friendly enough, but not overly attentive of the customers. I had high hopes for great breakfast spot, but the pancakes were underwhelming! The serving size is great, and you can share an order with kids without ordering them an entire meal- good pricing. I can't say enough about this small place on MacArthur avenue. When we walk in they move tables to accommodate our large group anywhere from 8 to 20Parking: Large 30 + lot serving a few places

Enjoyed this diner years ago. Ownership changed, along with food quality & atmosphere. I patted the grease off my plate & the standard frozen pork patties. Too much butter in the “not” sourdough toast. It’s a great walking community with good dining options, but not this one.
