Usually bomb, the last hour of Saturday night service left me underwhelmed. I’ve had great service on way busier nights. I’ve had food So good, I’ve licked the plate clean.

The Tom Yum soup is the worst I've ever had. It tastes absolutely NOTHING like Tom Yum soup!!! So disappointed.

I ordered food via DoorDash. The Pad Thai arrived extremely soggy, and the seafood salad was lacking in lettuce, to the extent that labeling it a "salad" feels misleading. It was more like a marinated seafood dish. It might be better to dine in, but I wouldn't recommend it for delivery.

One of my favorite restaurants!! The food is absolutely amazing and there is so much variety on the menu. The restaurant space itself is charming and the staff is wonderful.

Super fresh, good for a variety of eaters with different appetites. Very happy with my clay pot veggies, steamed to just tender and well seasoned/sauced. Service was a little scattered, but it might have been a busier lunch shift than normal.

We chose Champa Garden because normally the food is delicious. Unfortunately, this time, the salmon in my dish was overcooked and dry. The Thai Papaya salad was not what I ordered. It had no shrimp and noodles. It was not what was described on the menu. When I phoned to complain, I was told they normally add noodles to the side. I was very disappointed because I love papaya salads. When I mentioned my disappointment, the person on the phone didn't know what to say...I suspect there was a new cook.

Looks like a hole in the wall ? but the inside is nice. Like the atmosphere. Food wasn't bad. Sharable dishes. Only 3 stars because I was still hungry after ?? so if you have an appetite you'll have to get more than one dish ??

Just got pad gra pow takeout from here and extremely disappointed. Mostly just semi cooked beans with absolutely no flavor. Very little beef that too overcooked. Not at all what I expected as pad gra pow and what it was wasn't delicious barely edible.

Quaint family owned restaurant with yummy food. Good options for vegetarians and server was good about asking whether fish/ oyster sauce was ok or not which was much appreciated.Happened to be in Oakland for last weekend of Glowfari at the Zoo. Didnt snack in the park so I could enjoy a proper meal at Champa, have not been there in 7years or so it was a meal I was really looking forward to.The portions are good for the price which is super helpful in these times of inflation. I was shocked when I paid the bill and it was under $75 including tax and tip. We had 2 appetizers, soup and an entree. It was 2 in my party but was super happy to enjoy variety without breaking the bank and having leftovers to enjoy later in the week.I remember the food being more flavorful back in the day but it was still delicious and would go back if I am in the east bay.

Champa Garden is Thai and Laotian food. The flavors are amazing and you will not be disappointed. You must order the Champa Sampler! It comes with some tasty spicy Lao Sausages. Prices are fair and service is great. I highly recommend this gem in Oakland.

I had been dying to try Lao food and this place was a great place to try it for the first time! I got the chicken Khao Piek, which is a rice noodle dish similar to Bánh Canh for those familiar to Vietnamese food. Although I was a little saddened by the fact that there was no pork blood cubes in the dish, I really enjoyed it anyway with a good amount of chili oil. Khaopoon curry noodle was also tasty. Lovely servers and cozy atmosphere. Nice and reasonable prices, as well. Def plan on coming here again!
