The food is amazing and the atmosphere is sublime. I don’t normally use words like this in google reviews but it’s appropriate to describe this place.
P.S. They really don’t skim on pesto and the bred is fresh fresh!

I went there for an open mic and the vibes were amazing. The staff is super friendly and we're very efficient with the orders. Will definitely be going back there.
Such a cute spot. Loved my mango tango quesadilla and crystal is so friendly!

Discover Community Cafe is a cozy, lovely neighborhood spot in Oakland, perfect for hanging out with friends, studying, or working with free WiFi. It offers excellent food and drinks, crafted and served with love, including great hot chocolate, seasonal soups, fun creative sandwiches, the cold noodle tofu dish, charcuterie board, and Mexican corn. The non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails, like the watermelon lime and locally blended teas, are amazing. It hosts regular community events like a monthly comedy open mic, Friday open mics, and different daily programs from art to free music. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable with quiet uplifting music, lots of seating, and super welcoming service. It is a special place that champions local, seasonal products and is definitely worth a visit.
