About Geta

Geta is a small, cozy restaurant with a take-out spot vibe, offering high-quality sushi at reasonable prices. The menu features classic rolls, nigiri, and sashimi made with the best local and Japanese seafood products. The restaurant has a limited seating capacity, with only three tables and a bar, but the efficient and pleasant service makes up for it. Geta also offers vegetarian options, gluten-free products, and tamari for dietary restrictions. The omakase menu, available in 10 or 15 pieces, is a hidden gem for a special and quick meal. Geta is a favorite neighborhood sushi location, and their food always comes out quickly. Everything eaten there is delicious, with a great selection. The tempura is a particular favorite, with the batter always just right. They serve hot tea and you can get refills. The way they display their specials, with little laminated cartoons, is adorable. Despite the space being a bit small, they manage to keep the place well and give sushi in such a friendly and quick demeanor. The sushi rolls are loaded with fish and the price for sushi is so reasonable and the taste is great. The salmon sashimi is a large portion, and super good. The Geta don with amazing tuna and a really great onsen egg is a highlight. The spicy scallop roll, real cali roll, and hamachi roll are also great. The freshest hotate nigiri and amaebi, served with a fried shrimp head, are the best. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and the service is quick and efficient. It's a popular take out spot.

Great, authentic Japanese food in a vibrant little space.
My first time here. Looked like such a hole-in-the-wall from outside, but fantastic food quality.

The paper menu has mostly sushi rolls, apps, and lunch specials. On the walls are the sashimi and nigiri menus, in individual cute stickers. The sampler plates seem to have a huge variety of different fishes, and generous portions, for a reasonable price. Highly recommend dropping by.
Generous serving sizes, so much better value than sf sushi
