Best carnitas! Tender and moist. Jalisco is an Oakland icon. Family owned and is cherished by our neighborhood since the 1960s. Only on open on the weekends cuz its that good. Even the veggie burrito is smackin.
The carnitas are delicious, there's no arguing that. Are they the best in Oakland? Not anymore. There are several small pop-ups and backyard operations that have appeared in the past few years and a couple are tastier and cheaper than here.As mentioned, the carnitas here are good, but they are extremely oily and it only gets worse as the day progresses.
